Na manhã de hoje, o São Paulo surpreendeu e anunciou a saída do técnico Luís Zubeldía, após sequência ruim no Campeonato Brasileiro. O treinador teria pedido demissão e chegado a uma rescisão amigável com o clube paulista. No Tricolor desde 2024, o argentino teve 85 partidas, com 38 vitórias, 27 empates e 20 derrotas. Ele deixa o time nas oitavas de final da Libertadores e da Copa do Brasil, mas em 14° lugar no Brasileirão, com um ponto da zona de rebaixamento. Para o seu lugar, Crespo é o favorito à assumir a vaga.
Em comum acordo e de forma amigável, na manhã desta segunda-feira (16), as partes definiram que o técnico Luis Zubeldía não permanecerá no comando da equipe do São Paulo Futebol Clube.

Com isso, o Brasileirão Série A chegou a nona troca de treinador em apenas 12 rodadas disputadas. Dos 20 clubes que estão na competição, apenas 12 ainda permanecem com o mesmo técnico desde o início. Por outro lado, o Sport, lanterna da competição, ainda sem nenhuma vitória, já mandou dois treinadores embora.
As trocas de treinadores no Brasileirão
O primeiro técnico demitido foi Mano Menezes, que estava no Fluminense. Ele deixou o clube carioca logo depois da primeira rodada. Na terceira rodada, foi a vez do Santos demitir o português Pedro Caixinha, que estava há pouco tempo no clube. Na quarta rodada, Quinteiros foi demitido do Grêmio e Ramón Díaz do Corinthians.
Após a sexta rodada, foi a vez de Fábio Carille sair do Vasco, enquanto a sétima rodada acabou com a demissão de Pepa no Sport e Fábio Matias no Juventude. Por fim, após a 11ª rodada, António Oliveira foi demitido do Sport, 20 dias depois de ter assumido o comando técnico. Hoje, então, Zubeldía completa a lista após pedir demissão do São Paulo.

Quando o campeonato retorna
Por conta da Copa do Mundo de Clubes, o Brasileirão Série A faz uma pausa de um mês, com retorno previsto para a semana do dia 12 de julho. Isso porque, quatro clubes brasileiros estão representando o país no torneio: Palmeiras, Flamengo, Botafogo e Fluminense. A final do Mundial será no dia 13 de julho e, se algum time do Brasil estiver lá, terá seu jogo da 13ª rodada adiado.
Nesta pausa, o Flamengo lidera a competição com 24 pontos, com um jogo a menos em relação a maioria dos times. O segundo e o terceiro colocado são Cruzeiro e Bragantino, respectivamente, mas já fizeram 12 partidas. Em quatro aparece o Palmeiras, que soma 22 pontos e 11 jogos. A zona de rebaixamento é formada por Internacional, Fortaleza, Juventude e Sport.
