Depois de vencer Seattle Sounders. Glorioso terá que encarar PSG e Atlético de Madrid para poder buscar vaga na próxima fase
A estreia do Botafogo na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa foi da forma que o torcedor desejava, derrotando o Seattle Sounders. Mas agora o time carioca, para querer manter vivo o sonho de estar nas oitavas de final da competição, terá dois desafios de peso nas próximas rodadas; PSG e Atlético de Madrid.
Duas partidas as quais as expectativas do torcedor botafoguense estão em fazer um bom desempenho e conseguir o máximo de pontos possível para ter a classificação em mãos. E também em evitar qualquer tipo de tropeço que possa ser ‘mortal’ para as pretensões do Glorioso neste Mundial de Clubes.
‘Não pode mais falhar’
Para Arnaldo Ribeiro, o Botafogo ‘não pode mais falhar’ nos jogos contra franceses e espanhóis. O comentarista argumentou que, especialmente contra o PSG, adversário do Alvinegro nesta quinta-feira (19), o time terá a obrigatoriedade em conseguir um bom resultado, especialmente depois dos parisienses tendo estreado com goleada sobre o Atlético.
“São três pontos obrigatórios contra o time mais fraco da chave (o Sounders). Mas agora o Botafogo não pode mais falhar. É assim, vai jogar contra o PSG. É empatar ou perder de pouco”, disse Ribeiro.
Atlético é a partida-chave
Na visão do comentarista, a derrota até cairia bem para os planos botafoguenses, desde que seja para evitar ser também goleado pelos franceses. Arnaldo Ribeiro projeta para o Fogão a partida final da equipe na primeira fase, diante do Atlético de Madrid, como aquela que poderá definir o futuro do time na Copa do Mundo de Clubes e a possibilidade de avançar de fase.
“É a missão de perder de menos que o Atlético de Madrid perdeu, para poder decidir na última rodada, no confronto direto contra eles. É uma chave muito complicada. O Botafogo tá trocando de pele com o negócio em andamento”, afirmou o comentarista.
