Drei Länder, drei Meistertitel – doch Ex-Bayern-Star Ryan Gravenberch ist noch lange nicht satt. Nach seinem Premier-League-Erfolg mit dem FC Liverpool peilt der 23-jährige Mittelfeldspieler jetzt den nächsten großen Coup an: den Champions-League-Titel.
„Es gibt noch so viel, das ich erreichen will“, sagte der Niederländer im Interview mit „Numero Netherlands“. Mit Ajax, den Bayern und und Liverpool holte er nationale Titel. Aber …
„Dieser Hunger geht nie weg, ich spüre ihn jeden Tag. Ich bin erst 23, da liegen noch viele große Momente vor mir. Die Champions League zu gewinnen – das ist ein riesiger Traum von mir“, so der Liverpool-Star.
Auch mit der niederländischen Nationalmannschaft will er noch Großes schaffen: „Eine EM oder sogar eine Weltmeisterschaft – das würde alles bedeuten. Es gibt noch viele Ziele, und genau das treibt mich an.“
[–>Gravenberch kam im Sommer 2023 vom FC Bayern an die Anfield Road, tat sich unter Jürgen Klopp anfangs schwer. Erst in der laufenden Saison unter jetzt Meister-Trainer Arne Slot drehte der zentrale Mittelfeldspieler richtig auf – in der neuen Rolle als Sechser.
„Ich hatte das Glück, für drei große Klubs zu spielen – Ajax, Bayern und Liverpool. Jeder dieser Vereine ist der größte in seinem Land“, sagte Gravenberch.
„Das ist ein echtes Privileg. In diesen Städten ist Fußball tief verwurzelt. Die Fans sind leidenschaftlich und haben hohe Erwartungen. Wenn du das Trikot trägst, spürst du, was es bedeutet.“
Für Gravenberch unterscheiden sich die Topklubs dabei weniger als viele denken: „Große Vereine brauchen eine besondere Mentalität – diesen Siegeswillen. Es gibt eine Kultur, die über Jahre gewachsen ist, und die dreht sich nur um Erfolg. Auf dem Platz, aber auch außerhalb.“
