YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul recalled the $20 million he lost in connection with the fight against Mexican boxing legend Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. This statement was made after being invited to a podcast on The Iced Coffee Hour, where he touched on several topics about his beginnings as a fighter and the aforementioned monetary loss.
When Jake Paul announced his intention to become a boxer, most didn’t take him seriously. Recall that in his first fight, the young Disney star faced Deji Olatunji. Seven years later, the celebrity is on his way to a showdown with former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Jake Paul vs Canelo Alvarez: Why did he lose $20 million?
Paul, “The Problem Child,” had intended to fight two-time undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. The contracts were signed, and the hype was enormous. Unfortunately for him, the fight never happened, as the Mexican chose to sign a contract to face Terence Crawford.
In addition to the enormous purse Paul would have earned from the fight, it now appears that “El Gallo” lost a staggering $20 million on the fight against Canelo. “I can bet on myself,” Paul stated. “If I had bet $2 million, I probably would have won about $20 million,” he concluded, lamenting his $20 million loss.
Jake Paul Puts Himself on Par with Muhammad Ali: “I’m the Best Thing That Happened to Boxing”
In a statement that has sparked debate in the boxing world, streamer-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul didn’t hesitate to place himself on the same level as one of the sport’s greatest legends. He unhesitatingly declared himself “the best thing that happened to boxing since Muhammad Ali,” sparking a wave of reactions.
The controversial boxer, known for his rapid rise and high-profile fights, argued that in just 12 professional bouts, he has managed to revitalize the sport. In his own words, his impact extends to building gyms, promoting both amateur and women’s boxing, and donating his earnings to charitable causes.

Travis Kelce challenges his own Chiefs teammate and turns the team’s practice into a show
In a striking moment atKansas City's mandatory minicamp, Travis Kelce reaffirmed his identity, not just as a top-tier tight end, but as a cultural icon who refuses to tone down his flair for the sake of conformity. His bold celebration directly clashed with Harrison Butker's recent advocacy for subdued, respectful post-touchdown conduct. Essentially, the moment on the practice field wasn't just another catch; it was Kelce making a statement. The tension simmering in the locker room stems from two very different philosophies. Butker, the Chiefs' dependable kicker, recently voiced concerns about excessive celebrations. Without naming names, he questioned whether players would still celebrate if "our Lord was playing" and wondered if touchdown dances might be over the top. His pointed comments sparked curiosity: Would this more restrained mindset permeate the rest of the team?Kelce, never one to kowtow, delivered his response […]
