Tenista de 23 anos contou como o apoio de família e amigos foi crucial para recuperação mental e na preparação para os próximos torneios
A decisão de Roland Garros foi no dia 8 de junho, mas até hoje (dez dias depois), o italiano Jannik Sinner ainda sente a derrota para Carlos Alcaraz na final. Os dois astros protagonizaram um recorde, com a maior partida da história do torneio francês, mas o espanhol saiu com o troféu.
Após uma verdadeira maratona de 5 horas e 23 minutos, Jannik Sinner saiu derrotado por Alcaraz por 3 a 2, mesmo após ter aberto uma vantagem de 2 a 0. Assim, a virada do espanhol é considerada por muitos fãs como histórica.
Apesar de ser a maior partida da história de Roland Garros, essa não foi a maior da história. Ainda está atrás da final do Australian Open 2012 entre Rafael Nadal e Djokovic. Mesmo assim, esse jogo deixou marcas em Jannik Sinner que jamais serão esquecidas.
Impactos da derrota em Jannik Sinner
Como todo esportista de alto rendimento, Jannik Sinner passa por um momento de instabilidade mental após a derrota. “Foi uma derrota dura. Ainda penso nos pontos e sei que isso ficará comigo por um tempo”, afirmou o italiano. Mesmo assim, ele segue na preparação para jogar a segunda fase do ATP de Halle.
Em meio aos treinos e preparativos para a próxima competição, na Alemanha, Jannik Sinner revela ter recebido apoio da família e amigos para esquecer a derrota. “Fizemos um churrasco, jogamos tênis de mesa com amigos. Coisas normais, nada especial. Gosto de voltar para casa em períodos mais conturbados. Passei algumas noites sem dormir”, contou.
Assim, Jannik Sinner reforçou a importância da família, que para ele é mais importante que o tênis. “A minha família e os meus amigos me apoiam. O tênis é importante para mim, mas eles são ainda mais”, disse o italiano. Assim, o tenista ganha forças para os próximos torneios, o que inclui o tradicional Grand Slam de Wimbledon.
ATP de Halle
Com o Roland Garros no passado, e ainda digerindo a derrota, Jannik Sinner já estreou no ATP de Halle. Na primeira fase, o número 1 do mundo venceu o alemão Yannick Hanfmann por 2 a 0. Nesta quinta-feira (19), o italiano joga sua segunda rodada, contra Alexander Bublik, do Cazaquistão.
