Flamengo faz da queixa dos europeus sua rotina e manda recado ao mundo em virada sobre o Chelsea

Time mais rico da América do Sul, com orçamento anual próximo de R$ 1,5 bilhão, o Flamengo mandou um recado ao mundo do futebol ao vencer o Chelsea, por 3 a 1, ontem, pela Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa, e dominar uma equipe europeia com três a quatro vezes mais receita: o Brasil precisa de menos recursos econômicos e tem talento para se equiparar aos grandes times internacionais com as mínimas condições de igualdade para a disputa. E como maior clube do país, o Rubro-negro vive a rotina de disputa de títulos e se adapta a muitos jogos em condições diferentes.

No calor do verão dos Estados Unidos e em início de temporada por lá, as estrelas da Premier League não foram páreas para o escrete de Filipe Luís, jovem técnico com carreira de jogador na Europa, que escolheu começar a nova fase em seu país e clube de coração. E justamente pelo conhecimento dos dois lados, no lugar de se apequenar, se agigantou com uma proposta de jogo que confirma a tese de que Flamengo e outros grandes clubes sul-americanos não deixam a desejar para a grande maioria dos europeus, pois estão mais acostumados a lidar com a adversidade.

— Acredito que existe uma elite no futebol, oito ou dez times do mundo fazem parte dela. Eles são muito superiores. Tirando essa elite, acho que os brasileiros estão no mesmo nível desse segundo escalão. Pela forma de competir, se adaptar, jogar em todos os tipos de gramado, altitude, climas adversos. Isso gerou uma competitividade que não nos coloca para baixo contra nenhum clube no mundo — afirmou Filipe Luís.

— Entendo a fala dos europeus. tem que se deslocar, vir pro calor. Mas quando se entra em campo ninguém quer perder. Sobressai quem tem mais vontade, qualidade e organização competitiva. Alguns fatores nos ajudam. O campo ficou seco em alguns momentos, e nós brasileiros temos capacidade de se adaptar a diferentes cenários, temos jogadores espalhados por todas as ligas, isso nos dá alguma vantagem, mas se não entrar e correr não faz diferença — avaliou Danilo.

Ou seja, enquanto os europeus reclamam das condições que geram o maior desgaste, os brasileiros mostram que essa é a nossa realidade. Foi a partir deste pensamento que o Flamengo não entrou em campo diferente do que tem sido nos últimos anos, e conseguiu uma virada espetacular depois de sair atrás em uma falha de Wesley, que resultou no gol de Pedro Neto. Este foi o ponto de partida de uma atuação de superação, mas sobretudo madura, de um time e um treinador que sabem o que precisam fazer independentemente das peças que estão em campo. Sem abrir mão de seu modelo, o Flamengo se adaptou a um começo de jogo em que não converteu as primeiras chances e foi surpreendido. Manteve a convicção e o maior domínio da bola. E no segundo tempo, com a entrada de Bruno Henrique e a subida de produção de Gerson, marcou mais duas vezes. Uma com o atacante, que entrou na vaga de Arrascaeta, e outra com um jovem da base, Wallace Yan, que veio para lembrar que o clube não pode parar de investir em novos talentos.

O começo do Flamengo, antes do susto, era animador. Com mudanças, Filipe Luís apostou em laterais que atacassem o espaço, e Wesley e Ayrton Lucas o fizeram muito bem. Houve uma maior dificuldade de articulação dos meias Pulgar, Jorginho e Arrascaeta. O que tornou mais complicado o jogo por dentro, fazendo com que a bola não chegasse para Plata, opção no lugar de Pedro. Depois do gol de Pedro Neto, o Chelsea viveu melhor momento até o intervalo, mas o Flamengo não se entregou. Na volta para o segundo tempo, Arrascaeta foi o que mais sentiu o desgaste, mesmo tendo sido preservado de algumas atividades na última semana. Mais uma vez, Filipe Luis priorizou quem estava melhor fisicamente e lançou Bruno Henrique.

A virada em três minutos

A virada aconteceu em três minutos. Aos 16, Gerson deu uma fatiada na bola, Plata ajeitou de cabeça, e o camisa 27 desviou para o gol. Logo em seguida, de novo pelo lado direito, Danilo recebeu assistência de Bruno Henrique, e transformou o Lincoln Financial Field em um “Deja vu” de Lima, em 2019, quando o time rubro-negro foi campeão da Libertadores sobre o River Plate de virada.

A partir daí, o Chelsea sentiu. E o Flamengo pisou no acelerador para não deixar o adversário respirar. Plata, que também cresceu depois da entrada de Bruno Henrique, caiu pelos lados, e tabelou com Wallace Yan. Os dois quase pararam dentro do gol, e o garoto fez o terceiro. Pouco antes disso, os Blues ainda tiveram Nicolas Jackson expulso, dificultando qualquer reação.

A esta altura, a torcida que encheu o estádio já ensaiava os gritos de “olé” e “mais um”. Além do maior domínio em termos de posse de bola e finalização, o Flamengo terminava o jogo com autoridade, reconhecida pelo adversário. Técnico do Chelsea, Enzo Maresca afirmou que não se surpreendeu com a postura do Flamengo na partida e que o time brasileiro mereceu vencer. Mas deixou claro que os gols em sequência e a expulsão mudaram o roteiro do jogo.

— Seis minutos mudaram totalmente a dinâmica do jogo. Sofremos dois gols em três minutos e, logo depois, o cartão vermelho — lamentou o técnico italiano, dando crédito ao time brasileiro. — O Flamengo é um time muito bom, com bons jogadores, um bom treinador. Não foi uma surpresa para nós.
