Que o fenômeno da globalização chegou ao futebol não é novidade para ninguém. Por isso, jogadores mudam de país a todo momento. No entanto, algumas regras precisam ser seguidas, como o limite de estrangeiros por clube. Sem perder nenhum jogador, o Grêmio pode ganhar uma vaga de estrangeiro, pois o argentino Walter Kannemann está buscando a cidadania brasileira.
No país desde 2016, quando chegou ao Grêmio, Kannemann busca obter a dupla cidadania. Nascido em Concepción del Uruguay, na Argentina, o jogador quer “virar” brasileiro.
O processo para conseguir a cidadania
Segundo o GE, que publicou sobre o assunto, a intenção de Kannemann, e também do próprio Grêmio, de obter a cidadania brasileira vem desde 2023. No entanto, na prática, o processo teve início no ano passado.
O estágio atual do processo ainda é incerto. De acordo com o GE, os trâmites burocráticos dependem do governo federal e da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF). Porém, neste momento, ainda não há uma previsão exata para o desfecho da situação.
Como a cidadania de Kannemann pode ajudar o Grêmio
Atualmente, a regra no Brasil permite que até nove jogadores estrangeiros sejam relacionados para uma partida. O Grêmio possui, além de Kannemann, outros 10 atletas que não nasceram no Brasil: Cristaldo, Cuéllar, Monsalve, Villasanti, Braithwaite, Pavón, Arezo, Aravena, Cristian Olivera e Amuzu.
Com a eventual dupla nacionalidade de Kannemann, ele deixaria de contar como estrangeiro e ajudaria o clube na administração do número de estrangeiros, inclusive pensando em eventuais contratações. No Grêmio, o zagueiro argentino tem sido titular com Mano Menezes e tem contrato até o fim da temporada.
