The Thunder have their first championship in Oklahoma City. The Thunder took down the Pacers on Sunday night in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals to deliver their first championship for the franchise since relocating to OKC from Seattle in 2008. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the NBA’s regular-season MVP, was named Finals MVP.

The Pacers’ underdog run, meanwhile, came up one win short of a title. Indy has still never won an NBA championship in its history. The Pacers saw star guard Tyrese Haliburton go down with an Achilles injury early in Game 7. It was a tough blow as the Pacers’ offense struggled after the injury in a 12-point loss.

The Thunder are the NBA’s seventh different champion in as many years. OKC was the top seed in the playoff bracket after winning 68 games. The Thunder knocked off the Grizzlies, Nuggets and Timberwolves to reach the NBA Finals. The Pacers made the Finals for the first time since 2000. Indy took out the Bucks, Cavaliers and Knicks to reach the title round.

Why Saints DE Cameron Jordan ripped NFL excessive celebration rules

Unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the NFL often spark waves of "No Fun League" jeers, mocking the league's celebration penalties and their sometimes strict nature. Eight-time Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Jordan said when asked about the "dumbest rule" in the NFL that the excessive celebration limits are too restrictive and that players should be allowed to taunt their opponents after making big plays. The league pulled back on some of its celebration rules in 2017 after endless scrutiny, but some barriers remain in place. While group celebrations and the use of the ball as a prop are now allowed, anything portraying violence or taunting is still subject to a potential penalty or fine."For the fans, I think it's the excessive celebration," Jordan said at Fanatics Fest. "Like, boy, if you don't let them celebrate — they scored a touchdown, they dragged […]

Keegan Bradley playing best golf of career, somehow freed up by pressure of United States Ryder Cup captaincy

Following his win at the 2025 Travelers Championship, Keegan Bradley made a surprising admission that he "finds peace" inside the ropes amid his U.S. Ryder Cup captaincy. Every waking moment of his professional and personal lives these days is engulfed by every aspect of his captaincy -- shuttle schedules, food menus, playing combinations and which players he should ultimately select with his six captain's picks in three months' time at Bethpage Black. It has taken over Bradley's day-to-day. Ironically, the one place where he feels he can escape is not at home or spending time with family but smack dab in the center of the arena, where one might least expect a jittery New Englander to find peace.  Everyone knows that the 39-year-old eats, breathes and sleeps the Ryder Cup. He has yet to unpack his suitcase from the 2014 edition […]
