West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of defender Nat Phillips from Liverpool.
The transfer of the centre-back has been processed for a fee around £3million ($4m), inclusive of add-ons.
The 28-year-old centre-back, who had one year remaining on his contract at Anfield, had attracted interest from several Championship clubs following a productive loan spell at Derby County last season.

However, new West Brom head coach Ryan Mason has won the race to secure his services. Phillips will link up with his new team-mates for the start of pre-season testing later this week.
It brings to an end Phillips’ long association with Liverpool, dating back to 2016 when he was signed from Bolton Wanderers’ academy. Handed his debut by Jurgen Klopp against Everton in an FA Cup tie in January 2020, he went on to make 29 senior appearances for the club.
Phillips endeared himself to Liverpool supporters with his performances alongside fellow rookie Rhys Williams as Klopp’s side salvaged Champions League qualification during a defensive injury crisis in 2020-21.
He has previously had loan spells at Stuttgart, Bournemouth, Celtic, Cardiff City and Derby County. His final appearance for Liverpool was against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2023.
Meanwhile, young Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies is joining League Two Crawley Town on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old academy graduate, who recently signed a new contract, will depart on a temporary basis in order to gain more senior experience. Davies previously had a spell on loan at Crewe Alexandra in 2023-24.
Last week Liverpool also sanctioned a loan move for fellow keeper Vitezslav Jaros, who will spend next season with Ajax.
New signing Armin Pecsi, who arrived from Hungarian club Puskas Akademia for £1.5 million, is expected to be third choice behind Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
