Nesnáším celé Rusko, cítím hněv, vztek a velmi hluboké emoce,“ vyprávěla Svitolinová v rozhovoru pro britský server express.co.uk.
Dvojnásobná wimbledonská semifinalistka věří, že jednoho dne budou Rusové potrestáni. „Naší zemi se stalo tolik zlých věcí. Měli by za to pykat.“
Velký obdiv naopak Svitolinová neskrývá k ukrajinskému prezidentovi Volodymyru Zelenskému. „Moc ho uznávám, je to velmi silný vůdce a těžko bychom si mohli přát lepšího prezidenta.“
