Palmeiras e Botafogo vão medir forças no Mundial (Vitor Silva/Botafogo)
O confronto Palmeiras x Botafogo é um dos mais esperados das oitavas de final da Copa do Mundo de Clubes, pois garante ao menos um time brasileiro nas quartas. Na opinião do ex-jogador Walter Casagrande, o duelo tem tudo para ser muito equilibrado, mas o time carioca chega mais forte e tem maiores chances de avançar na competição.
Em participação no UOL News Esporte, no YouTube, nesta quinta-feira (26) o comentarista esportivo analisou o confronto entre Verdão e Fogão marcado para o próximo sábado (28), às 13h (horário de Brasília), no Lincoln Financial Field, na Filadélfia (EUA), e indicou que o time carioca chega emocionalmente mais forte pelas jogos que fez no Mundial de Clubes.
“Se você for analisar o torneio até agora, o Palmeiras foi o primeiro lugar no grupo de forma ‘culposa’ – sem intenção. A partida contra o PSG é significativa, aquela vitória é impactante. Se for analisar pelo lado emocional e psicológico, quem chega com moral alta e confiante é o Botafogo. Palmeiras não tem motivo para chegar ‘grandão’”, avaliou Casão.
Palmeiras x Botafogo tem favorito?
“É um confronto igual, não tem favorito, é difícil dizer qual dos dois pode passar, mas pela primeira fase e por essa vitória conta o PSG, acho que o Botafogo tem mais possibilidade de passar do que o Palmeiras”, concluiu o comentarista do UOL Esporte.
Casagrande gostaria de assistir Flamengo x Bayern
Apesar de apontar Palmeiras x Botafogo como um dos melhores duelos nas oitavas de finald a Copa do Mundo de Clubes, Casagrande revelou que se pudesse escolher uma das partidas dessa fase para assistir no estádio, escolheria Flamengo x Bayern de Munique.
“Se me oferecessem ingressos para qualquer jogo (das oitavas), talvez que eu escolheria Flamengo x Bayern de Munique, porque acho muito interessante esse confronto. São duas escolas representativas de cada continente. Flamengo com futebol mais leve e solto, lembra o time de Jorge Jesus de 2019 e os times brasileiros de 1980 e 1990”, iniciou.
“O Bayern é aquela potência europeia. Sempre entra como favorito. Não tem chegado nos últimos anos, mas é sempre um dos favoritos. De cada dez campeonatos alemães, ele ganha nove. É uma potência. É um jogo bastante curioso para se assistir”, completou o ex-jogador, que teve passagem pelo rubro-negro carioca no fim da carreira, quando voltou ao Brasil após anos jogando na Europa.
