Em entrevista coletiva após o 3 a 0 contra o Red Bull Salzburg, da Áustria, o técnico comentou sobre o brasileiro: “Queremos que o Endrick volte o mais rápido possível. Ele voltará a treinar com a equipe em breve e está definitivamente nos meus planos”, explicou o espanhol.
É possível que o jovem atacante esteja disponível para o jogo contra a Juventus, na terça-feira (1), pelas oitavas de final. O time merengue conquistou a liderança do grupo H e agora tem duelo de vida ou morte contra os italianos, que ficaram em segundo no grupo G depois da derrota por 5 a 2 diante o Manchester City de Pep Guardiola.
Contratado com grandes expectativas, a joia brasileira teve poucos minutos ao longo da temporada, mas correspondeu quando entrou em campo. O futuro do Rodrygo não está totalmente definido. Especulado em clubes do futebol inglês, o atacante revelado pelo Santos foi reserva por “decisão técnica” e esquentou os rumores de uma possível saída do Real Madrid no futuro.
“Rodrygo veio com gana. Ficou fora do último jogo por uma decisão técnica. Ele segue sendo importante, é um jogador especial”, explicou Xabi Alonso, que assumiu o comando da equipe recentemente no lugar do italiano Carlo Ancelotti, o novo técnico da seleção brasileira.
O brasileiro de 24 anos tem forte mercado na Europa, especialmente na Premier League. Ele já foi ligado ao Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool e Manchester City, porém ainda não houve avanços significativos em negociações e somente especulações.
