In a mix of love for sports, viral marketing, and cool trends, a fan of the Dallas Cowboys has turned into a web star after he got a bold tattoo showing Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, wearing red gloves, boots, and a drink can all in the outfit.
The fan, Nick Jones, said the tattoo was just for fun and he hopes Taylor Swift, Kelce’s famous girlfriend, finds it funny too.

It all started as a challenge
Jones, a 29-year-old cop from Delta, Ohio, took up a dare set by Accelerator Active Energy, a brand Kelce likes. The brand said they would give 25 cases of their drink and a signed Kelce shirt to anyone brave enough to ink the NFL star in a funny pose. After seeing an earlier viral tattoo of Travis’s brother, Jason, Jones wanted to go even bigger.
The end? A big, full-color tattoo on his left thigh with a near-naked Travis Kelce holding a huge can of Accelerator, with flames below it. The art was meant to be fun as Jones even joked that the can on Kelce’s part is “bigger than the Eagle head between Jason’s legs” in that other tattoo.

“I had to help Travis get a bit bigger, better tattoo,” Jones told TMZ Sports.”They made me an offer. It was a hell of an offer. So I said, ‘You know what? I got to do this.'”
What would Taylor think?
With Kelce’s story with Taylor Swift all over the news, Jones was asked what the pop star might think of his skin art.
“My feeling is she would love it-just the fun nature of it,” he said. “It’s a badass tattoo. It’s gonna be a fun conversation starter“.
Jones also said his girls, who are big Swift fans, are hoping the singer will see and talk about the web-famous tattoo.
Even as a big Cowboys fan, Jones has looked up to Travis Kelce for a while, mainly in fantasy football. He also said a big reason for the tattoo was to shift the fame from the Eagles, who just won Super Bowl LIX, back to Kelce and the Chiefs.
“I couldn’t let an Eagle have all the spotlight,” he said. “I had to back Travis up.”
What is next?
Jones won’t hide his tattoo and cannot wait to show it off, maybe when the Chiefs play in Dallas on Thanksgiving. The tattoo has been seen on social media by Accelerator and loved by fans of the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights.
“The tattoo comes with its story,” Jones said. “A tattoo with a good story is key.“
From being loyal in fantasy football to getting viral ink, Nick Jones’ honor to Travis Kelce proves that love for the NFL has no ‘tight-ends’, and it could last forever.
