Equipe sul-americana com o futebol mais próximo do que se pratica na Europa, o Flamengo cumpriu a promessa de tentar enfrentar o Bayern de Munique de igual para igual no Mundial de Clubes, mas sabia que isso só seria possível se houvesse erro mínimo. Neste domingo, no Hard Rock Stadium, em Miami, a força da equipe alemã levou a duas falhas e dois gols em menos de 10 minutos de jogo, em função de uma intensidade na marcação sobre a linha de defesa, que impediu qualquer debate sobre equilíbrio. Mesmo superando os europeus na vontade e na parte física no segundo tempo, com luxuosa colaboração da torcida, que não parou de apoiar um segundo, a eliminação aconteceu em uma derrota aceitável por 4 a 2, com outras duas falhas fatais na etapa final.
A postura alemã de pressionar para recuperar a bola no ataque já era conhecida. Os dois gols logo no início, contra de Pulgar e em chute de Harry Kane, após perda Arrascaeta na frente da área, deixaram claro o que Filipe Luís vinha comentando nas últimas semanas sobre a distância ainda grande das equipes de elite da Europa para o topo do futebol brasileiro. Não houve DNA rubro-negro que equiparasse as ações em campo no primeiro tempo. Assustado com o início avassalador dos alemães, o Flamengo ficou com o emocional em frangalhos depois dos erros, esboçou uma reação com Gerson, mas sucumbiu aos duelos individuais, físicos, técnicos e táticos, após lindo gol de Goretzka antes do intervalo.
Alemães ditam ritmo e economizam forças
Quando o Bayern pressionava um pouco mais e acelerava, sobrava no jogo. Sempre à frente do placar com algum conforto, recuava as linhas, pressionava próximo de sua área, e saía em velocidade, sobretudo com Olise na direita. Com Arrascaeta, Gerson e Jorginho no meio-campo, esse jogo de área à área só teve um time jogando. Nesses intervalos, o Flamengo chegou a ficar mais com a bola, mas sem criar perigo real. Gerson acertou belo chute aos 32 minutos e diminuiu. Mas o Bayern acelerou novamente e em falha de Luiz Araújo ampliou.
No segundo tempo, Filipe Luis não mexeu de cara. O problema não era ter a bola. Era conseguir agredir o Bayern sem cometer erros. O único jogador que ganhava duelos físicos era Plata. Os demais pareciam de outra categoria. Mesmo assim o Flamengo não abriu mão de fazer seu jogo. Tentou algumas investidas por dentro no começo do segundo tempo e chutou a gol. Em tentativa de cruzamento, Olise desviou com a mão a bola de Arrascaeta. Pênalti. Jorginho diminuiu aos nove minutos e mais uma vez a torcida explodiu no estádio, com a perspectiva de jogo.
Logo, Bruno Henrique substituiu o camisa 10 e deu nova dinâmica ao ataque. O Bayern, cansado, também mexeu. E o Flamengo enfim conseguiu subir a pressão na saída de bola alemã. A torcida veio junto, com músicas sobre o Mundial de 1981 e a tradicional “Vamos virar, Mengo”. Bruno Henrique foi lançado e quase empatou. A equipe brasileira conseguia sair em velocidade. E armava o contragolpe para tentar igualar. Entretanto, em uma das tentativas, Luiz Araújo resolveu sair driblando na frente da área, perdeu a bola, e Harri Kane recebeu sozinho para fazer o quarto gol do Bayern.
Filipe Luís, com semblante sempre resignado, mandou a campo Ayrton Lucas, Wallace Yan e até De la Cruz, que não tinha condições de jogo. Com apoio da torcida, o Flamengo manteve a disposição nas divididas e fisicamente o jogo ficou mais igual. O Bayern novamente segurou o ímpeto, saiu bem em velocidade, e poderia ter ampliado com o excelente Olise, mas já se preservava para as quartas de final do Mundial contra o PSG.
