Der FC Bayern kämpft aktuell um den Titel bei der Klub-WM in den USA. Doch rund um den Verein gibt es einige Baustellen. Die Abschiede von Thomas Müller und Leroy Sané wurden noch nicht aufgefangen.
Die große Frage: Ist der Kader qualitativ in der Spitze und der Breite gut genug besetzt, um in der neuen Saison die Champions League gewinnen zu können?
„Nein, das ist er noch nicht“, sagt Rekordnationalspieler Lothar Matthäus. „Aber es wird sich hoffentlich noch etwas tun. Die Spieler, welche den Verein nun verlassen haben, müssen mit hoher Qualität ersetzt werden. Ich denke vor allem an Thomas Müller und Leroy Sané, die wichtig waren. Aber auch mir fehlt im Kader der Bayern etwas. Deswegen ist Max Eberl ja auch zwischenzeitlich zurück nach München gereist: Weil er weiß, dass sich noch einiges tun muss.“

„Rechts hinten fehlt mir ein gelernter Verteidiger, ein optimaler Spieler für diese Position. Konrad Laimer macht es gut, er ist ein Spitzenspieler mit super Mentalität. Aber Laimer ist dort kein Spezialist wie inzwischen Alphonso Davies als Linksverteidiger. Zudem braucht es auf der offensiven linken Flügelposition eine Verstärkung, die der Verein ja nun anscheinend mit großer Vehemenz sucht“, stellt Matthäus fest.
Im Angriff spricht der Ex-Nationalspieler plötzlich von Serge Gnabry: „Eine zweite Nummer 9 hinter Harry Kane zu finden ist schwierig, teuer und deswegen für mich unmöglich. Aber wenn man Serge Gnabry gut auf diese Rolle vorbereitet, traue ich ihm zu, dass er sie ausfüllen kann, falls Kane ausfällt bzw. einmal eine Pause braucht.“
Grundsätzlich müsse der FC Bayern weniger Fehler in den entscheidenden Spielen begehen. Matthäus: „Siehe die Standard-Situationen gegen Inter Mailand. Sie brauchen das Glück, in den wichtigsten Spielen die Top-Spieler fit und gesund auf dem Platz zu haben. Das war gegen Inter Mailand eben nicht der Fall.“
Und: „Neben den angesprochenen benötigten Verstärkungen sollten einige Spieler verkauft werden, um die Bayern-Kasse wieder aufzufüllen: Wenn zum Beispiel ein Palhinha bei der Klub-WM schon kaum zum Einsatz kommt, dann ist er mehr oder weniger überflüssig und deswegen auch ein Verkaufskandidat. Mir fehlt auf manchen Positionen das entscheidende Etwas. Es braucht noch mehr Qualität, Spezialisten und Mentalität. Denn auf diesem Niveau reden wir über Nuancen. Wenn dort Coman oder Gnabry auflaufen sollten, dann muss man sie auch stärken und ihnen das Vertrauen aussprechen.“

Jack Draper says tennis must adapt its annual calendar in order to avoid the volume of injuries sustained on tour.Draper, along with a host of other elite players including compatriot Emma Raducanu, Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune, is recovering from injury.
