Der Tscheche Martin Kabrhel (42) hat das 1,000 Dollar Mini Main Event bei der World Series of Poker in Las Vegas gewonnen. Er setzte sich gegen unglaubliche 10,793 Spieler durch, räumt die Gewinn-Summe von 717.000 Euro ab und holt sich sein 1. WSOP-Armband. Ein spektakulärer Coup, der vor allem seine Kritiker verstummen lassen wird.
Poker-Bad-Boy macht alle platt
Kabrhel ist der mit Abstand umstrittenste Poker-Spieler auf der Tour. Sitzt er einmal am Tisch, zieht eine Dauer-Show ab. Trash-Talk am laufenden Band, gerät mit dem Dealer, anderen Spielern und auch manchmal mit dem Floorman (Turnierleiter) aneinander. Nicht selten kassiert er für seine Aktionen eine Strafe. Dann muss er eine Runde aussetzen.

Vor drei Jahren wurde ihm sogar Karten-Manipulation vorgeworfen. Viele forderten seine Ausschloss von der Wolrd Series of Poker – bewiesen werden, konnte aber nichts. Kein Wunder, dass die wenigsten im Business ihm diesen Erfolg gönnen.
ABER: Dass er sich in einem so schweren Turnier, gegen so viele Spieler, durchsetzen kann, spricht für seine unglaublichen Fähigkeiten. Zwar schießt er oft mit seiner Art über das Ziel hinaus, dennoch ist er ein grandioser Poker-Spieler. Kabrhel nach dem Sieg: „Acht oder zehn Leuten im gesamten Feld gefiel es nicht – alle anderen waren begeistert.“ Das ist vielleicht untertrieben – aber es gibt auch Leute, die diese Show mögen.
[–>So war der Final-Tisch am Mittwoch umzingelt von vielen Zuschauern, die den Kabrhel-Coup feierten. Fakt ist: Der Tscheche ist kein normaler Poker-Spieler. Man sagt ihm nach, dass er ein mathematisches Genie ist. So hat er schon mehrere Apps entwickelt und für viel Geld verkauft. Zudem hat er über 15 Mio. Euro an Turnier-Gewinnen bei Live-Events vorzuweisen.
Ganz sicher: Die Kabrhel-Show wird garantiert auch im Main Event weitergehen. Nach seinem Sieg setzte er sich direkt ins Feld des größten Turniers des Sommers. Auch dort geht sein Super-Lauf weiter. Er konnte den Tag mit einem sehr guten Stack beenden. Kommt jetzt der nächste Kabrhel-Run?
