O Grêmio não poderá contar com Braithwaite para a final contra o São José, que ocorre nesta terça-feira (08), às 19h30 (de Brasília), pela Recopa Gaúcha, na Arena. Ainda sentindo dores no tornozelo direito, o europeu ficará de fora do confronto para evitar um agravamento do problema na reta final da recuperação.
Na última quarta, o dinamarquês já havia sido poupado do jogo-treino diante do Aimoré pelo mesmo motivo. O jogador se recupera de uma pancada sofrida no jogo contra o Juventude, realizado no último mês, antes da pausa do Brasileirão. Apesar da ausência, Braithwaite não é visto como preocupação para o próximo compromisso do Imortal no certame nacional.
Com a missão de encontrar um substituto no comando ofensivo, o técnico Mano Menezes tem adotado mistério sobre o assunto. No jogo-treino da semana passada, André Henrique foi acionado na condição de titular. Arezo, por sua vez, que esteve às vias de fato de se transferir ao Peñarol, corre por fora pela vaga. O atleta já deixou claro o desejo de ser melhor aproveitado na equipe.
Fase artilheira de Braithwaite
Adaptado ao futebol brasileiro, Braithwaite tem sido peça de suma importância para o Grêmio, figurando como a principal referência ofensiva. Ao todo, são 16 participações em gols (13 tentos e três assistências) nos 26 jogos realizados nesta temporada, superando todos os índices alcançados por ele no último ano, quando chegou no segundo semestre.
Antes do problema no tornozelo, o atacante dinamarquês anotou três tentos em sequência contra Bahia, Juventude e Corinthians, contribuindo para a ampliação da fase invicta do Tricolor, que já perdura desde o dia 17 de maio. Neste período, foram três vitórias e dois empates, sendo que dos cinco gols anotados, mais da metade foram do artilheiro.
Qual a provável escalação do Grêmio?
Para o confronto diante do São José, o Grêmio também não contará com Cristian Olivera, que se recupera de queimaduras. Por outro lado, o período de intertemporada serviu com que Mano Menezes recuperasse alguns jogadores. Igor Serrote, Edenilson, Monsalve e Cuéllar retornaram aos treinamentos e podem ser relacionados.
Pelo fato de Marlon não atuar no próximo final de semana contra o Cruzeiro, por questões contratuais, onde o Tricolor optou por não pagar a multa, há a possibilidade que de Lucas Esteves seja titular na lateral-esquerda para ganhar ritmo visando o jogo que marca a retomada do Brasileirão Série A. A provável escalação do Grêmio tem: Tiago Volpi; Gustavo Martins, Wagner Leonardo, Kannemann e Lucas Esteves; Villasanti, Cuéllar, Alysson, Cristaldo e Amuzu; André Henrique (Arezo).
