O empresário Marcelo Marques (foto), dono da Marquespan, passou um pouco mais das suas ideias como eventual presidente do Grêmio em entrevista ao programa “Sem Filtro”, no YouTube de GZH, durante a última segunda-feira, já confirmando alguns nomes que estarão com ele nesta jornada, como o do ex-dirigente Antônio Dutra Jr. A eleição ocorre no segundo semestre de 2025 e os demais candidatos são Paulo Caleffi, Denis Abrahão, Gladimir Chiele e Sérgio Canozzi.
Marques confirmou, por exemplo, que Dutra Jr vai ser o seu vice-presidente de futebol, cargo que hoje é ocupado por Alexandre Rossato no último ano da gestão de Alberto Guerra. Dutra, há alguns anos, esteve como diretor de futebol gremista na temporada de 2016, ano do título da Copa do Brasil, algo lembrado com orgulho pelo pré-candidato:
“O Dutra vai ser um vice do Conselho de Administração e também vai ser o meu vice de futebol. Ele é um case de sucesso no futebol e foi diretor no título da Copa do Brasil de 2016. O Odorico Roman também vai nos ajudar e vai participar do nosso CA. Ele foi vice de futebol no título da Libertadores”, assegurou Marques, que também terá o apoio de outros conhecidos nomes como Celso Rigo, Fábio Rigo e Gaúcho da Geral.

Se sair vitorioso da eleição, Marques tem o desejo de manter Mano Menezes no comando do clube para a temporada de 2026, a não ser que o restante de 2025 seja um “desastre” em termos de resultados. O pré-candidato diz gostar do estilo de jogo de Mano e não quer ser um presidente adepto de times “faceiros” dentro das quatro linhas.
Para o primeiro ano de sua gestão, caso vença nas urnas, Marques promete fazer um aporte de dinheiro para realizar cinco ou seis contratações de nível alto para o time. Posteriormente, ele quer ver o Grêmio andando com as suas próprias pernas. Uma inspiração para ele é a gestão do Palmeiras ao longo dos últimos tempos:
“Realmente a gente se inspira muito nesta gestão do Palmeiras. Do Paulo Nobre, do Galiotte, da Leila. Nós nos inspiramos muito na gestão deles. Não falei com eles, mas a gente acompanha”, comentou o empresário.
Algo já avisado por Marques é que, com ele na presidência, o Grêmio sequer debaterá o assunto SAF nos próximos três anos – prazo total do mandato inicial do presidente que for eleito. O empresário afirma ser totalmente contra esse tipo de modelo de gestão, que, segundo ele, pode representar um afastamento do torcedor junto ao clube.
Em campo, o Grêmio está pronto para voltar a jogar depois de um longo período sem partidas. Nesta terça-feira, a partir das 19h30, o Tricolor Gaúcho recebe o São José, na Arena, em Porto Alegre, pela decisão da Recopa Gaúcha.
