Rookies across the NFL are set to report to their team’s training facility for training camp in just a few weeks.

With minicamp and OTAs in the rearview mirror, the real work is about to begin for these first-year players. So, who should you be looking at to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year? Here are some of the best betting picks.

Cameron Ward (+300)

How is the No. 1 overall draft pick 3/1 to win this award? Incredible value.

Sure, this was a weak quarterback draft class. Ward’s skill set is nowhere near that of Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels last season.

But the Tennessee Titans have quickly turned into a great landing spot. Titans head coach Brian Callahan worked wonders with a young Joe Burrow during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals. He now has veteran weapons like Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Tony Pollard to help ease Ward’s transition.

As long as Ashton Jeanty (+270) doesn’t go buck wild with the Las Vegas Raiders, this bet should be a layup — as long as Ward stays coherent.

Travis Hunter (+900)

It’s conceivable to imagine a world where Ward has a really rough rookie season with the Titans. It’s also possible the Raiders whiff on a first-round Mountain West Conference running back.

If both of those things happen? The Heisman winner would be the runaway favorite — as long as he catches a couple of touchdown passes.

Even if Ward and Jeanty don’t bust, there’s certainly a world where the NFL forces us to watch Hunter win both Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year. If he scores double-digit touchdowns and grabs a couple of picks? Forces a fumble? That award would be all but locked up.

Shedeur Sanders (+4000)

Let’s have a little fun here, eh?

Sanders sliding to the fifth round still feels like a slight mystery. And the other Cleveland Browns quarterbacks are not exactly stellar options. The rest of the offense? Actually not terrible. Two solid receiving targets in Jerry Jeudy and David Njoku. Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson should make for a more versatile backfield after Nick Chubb signed with the Houston Texans.

If Sanders gets on the field, the hype machine will be out of control. And that’s what these awards are really about. The Browns love the spotlight. Don’t sleep on Sanders starting sooner than most might think.

Chelsea, Estevao and the race for Brazil’s best: ‘Stockpiling’, smart or both?

The scene, as Chelsea’s players flocked to Estevao at the final whistle at Lincoln Financial Field, was telling. There was a language barrier between them, but Cole Palmer and Liam Delap asked their Portuguese team-mate Dario Essugo to tell the Brazilian teenager just what they thought of him. That Club World Cup quarter-final was Estevao’s last game for Palmeiras before he joins Chelsea in a transfer worth an initial £29.3million ($40m) and potentially £49m depending on how well he performs at Stamford Bridge. The stunning goal he scored, thrashing the ball past Robert Sanchez from a tight angle, was a parting gift to the Palmeiras fans as well as the perfect getting-to-know-you to his new team-mates and supporters — well, perfect once Chelsea emerged victorious on the night, anyway.Advertisement“Congratulations, Chelsea,” Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira told reporters after Friday’s game. “You have […]

But over the last week, Mora has started three times for his country, tip-tapping between flailing legs with the ball at his feet, his confidence and dribbling ability utterly defying his years. AdvertisementOn Thursday, he provided a crucial assist for Raul Jimenez, a centre forward more than twice his age, to help Mexico through to the Gold Cup final. Three days later, he played 75 minutes as Javier Aguirre’s side won it with a 2-1 victory over the United States, […]

‘I turned around and Angus burst into tears’. The stories that explain how much the Club World Cup can mean

For PSG, beating Real Madrid is the final frontier in proving they are Europe’s elite team
