There is no doubt that Patrick Mahomes has defined an era in the NFL. Many already place him at the same table as Tom Brady and Joe Montana. The reality is that the Texas Tech product has had an immediate impact, having won three Super Bowls and lost two-one last season against the Eagles, and the other against Tom Brady.

When we say “immediate impact,” it’s no exaggeration. In his rookie season, Mahomes was behind Alex Smith, but in his second year, when he took control of the offense in 2018, he threw for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, earning NFL MVP honors that season.
In the three Super Bowl victories-twice against the San Francisco 49ers and once against the Philadelphia Eagles-he was named Super Bowl MVP each time. Mahomes has led the new NFL dynasty with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he clearly still has many years left at the top of the league.

It might seem like an exaggeration, but Patrick Mahomes has been compared to Tom Brady, who with seven Super Bowl rings is considered by many the greatest quarterback of all time. Mahomes still has a long way to go to reach Brady’s numbers, but based on what he has done so far, he’s making solid progress.
Mahomes is fully focused on what will be his ninth NFL season, and the league acknowledged that with a post: “Year 9 loading for @PatrickMahomes.”
There’s no doubt that the last Super Bowl loss to the Eagles was painful-the Chiefs were thoroughly dominated-but Mahomes addressed it during an interview on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, saying:
“I feel like I’ve had to sit back and just listen to people talk and talk, and I’m like, ‘Let’s just play football and handle it all out there.'”
In betting markets, the Chiefs are favorites in the AFC to return to the Super Bowl, but the competition is increasingly tough, especially from teams like the Bills, Ravens, and Bengals.
