Nach monatelangen Verhandlungen hat sich Manchester United laut „The Athletic“ gegen eine Zusammenarbeit mit Prime Video zwecks einer Dokumentation im Stil der „All or nothing“-Reihe für die kommende Saison 2025/26 entschieden.
Ausschlaggebend war laut des Berichts das Veto von Trainer Rúben Amorim (40)!
[–>Der Portugiese (seit November 2024 im Amt) habe ein solches Projekt derzeit nicht für angemessen oder vorteilhaft gehalten und die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Streaminganbieter als Ablenkung für sein Team gesehen. Prime Video hätte während der Dreharbeiten unter anderem Zugang zur Kabine und anderen sensiblen Bereichen erhalten.
Die Man-United-Bosse um Geschäftsführer Omar Berrada (47) waren – auch wegen der finanziellen Situation des Klubs – grundsätzlich für die Dokumentation. Doch nachdem Amorim nach Ende der Saison über die Idee informiert wurde und der Coach sein Veto eingelegt hatte, hat der Vorstand in seiner Vorstandssitzung die Idee einstimmig fallen lassen und dies Anfang des Sommers auch so an Amazon kommuniziert.

Der Rekorddeal ist damit geplatzt! Der Streaminganbieter hatte Manchester United umgerechnet ca. 11,6 Mio.
