Gabriel se do A-týmu letenského celku naplno neprosadil a v roce 2022 přestoupil do Hradce Králové. Sparta však posléze využila právo na zpětný odkup svého odchovance z Hradce a současně se dohodla na přestupu s Midtjyllandem.
Hned v první sezoně v Midtjyllandu se Gabriel radoval z titulu. Za dánský tým dosud odehrál 43 soutěžních zápasů, v nichž dal tři góly. V jeho dresu se představil i v kvalifikaci Ligy mistrů či hlavní fázi Evropské ligy. Loni debutoval v reprezentačním „áčku“, čímž navázal na svého otce Petra, účastníka mistrovství Evropy 2000. Adamovo dvojče Šimon zase působí v Liberci.
„Jsem tu už dva roky, minulá sezona byla pro mě těžká. Uvědomil jsem si, co je mým cílem v klubu a jakým typem hráče a člověka chci být,“ řekl Gabriel, který část uplynulého ročníku promarodil.
„Adam pracuje velmi tvrdě každý den a má ryzí touhu se zlepšovat. Už nám předvedl své kvality, ale věříme, že je v něm ještě víc,“ prohlásil sportovní ředitel Midtjyllandu Kristian Bach Bak.
