Matheus Gonçalves brilhou mais uma vez com a camisa do Flamengo. Autor de dois gols na vitória sobre o Botafogo no Brasileirão Sub-20, o meia-atacante mostrou que segue sendo um dos nomes mais promissores da base rubro-negra. Após a partida, o jovem revelou seu desejo de continuar no clube e deixou claro que quer mais oportunidades.
“Todo jogador é assim: só fica feliz quando joga. Vou procurar conversar com o Filipe. Minha vontade é ficar, eu jogo no Flamengo desde os 12 anos”, afirmou Matheus após a partida. Apesar da atual situação que Matheus vive no clube, o jovem não desiste de buscar seu espaço em um elenco repleto de estrelas.
Matheus vive um momento decisivo na carreira
Com apenas 19 anos, Matheus já viveu altos e baixos na curta carreira. Foi emprestado ao Red Bull Bragantino, onde ganhou um pouco mais de experiência. Agora, tenta mostrar que está pronto para contribuir de forma mais consistente no elenco principal do Flamengo, mesmo que a concorrência seja pesada.
A presença de Filipe Luís no comando do time principal pode ser fundamental para essa transição. O ex-lateral, ídolo do clube e agora treinador, costuma acompanhar de perto o desenvolvimento da garotada e dá oportunidades aos talentos que demonstram rendimento. Matheus, com seu faro de gol e boa leitura de jogo, pode estar entre eles.
