Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Los Angeles Lakers 116-113 in a nail biter game that went to the wire during the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Edwards had 43 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Julius Randle added 25 points with seven rebounds and three assists, and Jaden McDaniels recorded 16 points to help the Twolves get a 3-1 lead.

For the Los Angeles Lakers, Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic had a team high 38 points with two assists and one rebound, LeBron James recorded 27 points with 12 rebounds and eight assists, and Rui Hachimura added 23 points with five rebounds and one assist that were not good enough to beat Minnesota at Target Center.
Anthony Edwards has Jordanesque performance
Anthony Edwards absolutely shined during game 4 of the Timberwolves vs. Lakers game at Minnesota, nailing shot after shot with a confidence that reminded fans of the Michael Jordan era, when the best basketball player in NBA‘s history, used to crush rivals with his massive talent.
His outstanding performance was even more relevant after Ant had a scary play that involved LeBron James. During the first half of the battle, James collided with Edwards’ left ankle while diving on the floor for a losse ball. Anthony was down for an extended period of time but he was able to get up and walke to the Timberwolves bench without any assistance.
It seemed like the scary play that could have ended on an injury gave Edwards more fuel to become the hero of the game. Whether it was crossing over Austin Reaves, draining tough 3-pointers, diving for the ball against LeBron James, getting a hard rebound against Rui Hachimura, Ant showed the world why he can be the face of the league for years to come.
Edwards gives credit to his teammates
After his sensational game, Anthony Edwards gave credit to his teammates Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, and Donte DiVincenzo for coming up big and making the right playes against the Los Angeles Lakers, which helped him have a monster performance.
“Naz Reid is the clutchest player on our team, when we need a bucket, coach (Chris Finch) is been doing a great job drawing plays for him and he has made it happen,” said Ant after the game. “I’ll be dreaming all of my life for this moments, my baby was able to come and see me play today and I wanted to make the most of it,” he added.
Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs will be at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday, which will give both teams plenty of time to recover and prepare for what is going to be another hard battle. LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and the rest of the Lakers will want to avoid the elimination at the hands of Anthony Edwards and the feisty Timbervolves team.

Lvi prodloužili finále extraligy volejbalistů
Favorizovaní Lvi měli po dvou porážkách v dlouhých zápasech nůž na krku. Do třetího utkání v zaplněné UNYP Aréně vlétli s velkou energií a odskočili na tříbodový rozdíl, jenže pak hodně kazili servis a náskok už nenavyšovali. Naopak při podání hostujícího blokaře Petra Špuláka byli v několika výměnách nedůrazní a Karlovarsko otočilo na 15:12.
