Ex-Crimson Tide star Darius Miles faces December trial in murder case
Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles will go to trial for capital murder the week of December 1, a Tuscaloosa judge confirmed this week. The decision arrives nearly two years after the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jamea Harris, a case that rocked the college basketball world and the University of Alabama community.Miles has been held without bail in the Tuscaloosa County Jail since January 2023, when police arrested him in connection to the late-night shooting near The Strip, a popular nightlife spot close to campus.
