Abel Ferreira destacou a personalidade de Vitor Roque para superar adversidades. Nesta quarta (7), o atacante do Palmeiras perdeu uma chance de balançar as redes estando frente a frente com o goleiro rival. Depois disso, o jogador fez o segundo gol palmeirense, na vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o Cerro Porteño.
“O exemplo do que é resiliência de um jogador: Vitor Roque. Em uma imagem, eu falhar um gol que todos estavam esperando que não falhasse, que toda gente criticou, e como dou resposta a adversidade? Ele lutou e fez um golaço, sozinho, com capacidade física, força, técnica. Nossa equipe é resiliente”, declarou.
Com o resultado, o Verdão chegou a 12 pontos e manteve o 100% de aproveitamento, na fase de grupos da Copa Libertadores. Além disso, garantiu vaga antecipada nas oitavas de final e assegurou a liderança do grupo G.
“Pés no chão porque toda gente agora vai massagear o ego. Equilíbrio tem que vir do treinador, da presidente e dos capitães. Não ganhamos nada. Há muito jogo pela frente. É rezar que não tenha mais lesões”, disse Abel Ferreira.

“Não dá para tirar o pé do acelerador. É continuar a preparar, rodar quem temos que resolver rodar e continuar nesta. Queremos continuar com hábito de ganhar”, garantiu Abel Ferreira.
“Isso que vamos continuar a fazer independentemente se já passamos ou não. O próximo jogo é já em três dias e não há outra forma”, finalizou o técnico do Palmeiras.
