Novo diretor executivo do Vasco, o português Admar Lopes foi apresentado nesta quarta-feira. Em entrevista coletiva, o dirigente falou sobre o início do trabalho no clube e ressaltou a situação financeira limitada para o momento.
— Desde que comecei a conversar com a diretoria do Vasco, ficou muito claro que se trata de uma diretoria bastante responsável. Me fizeram entender a grandeza e a exigência e ao mesmo tempo a situação financeira complicada que o Vasco vive no momento. Nós temos vontade de trazer jogadores que acrescentem, mas também temos a noção que precisamos resolver algumas situações pendentes no elenco, aliviar um pouquinho a folha para poder contratar. Temos alvos dentro das nossas possibilidades que gostaríamos de trazer.
O dirigente também falou sobre o futuro de Rayan. Muito valorizado no mercado, o jovem foi alvo de pedido especial de Fernando Diniz na próxima janela de transferências, em julho. Segundo Admar, a intenção é mantê-lo, assim como os nomes principais do elenco. Outro pedido do treinador.
— É minha expectativa manter o Rayan, mas se pagarem a multa rescisória não há o que fazer. Acredito que com o trabalho que estamos fazendo, o Rayan vai ficar até o fim do ano. Mas nada é garantido no futebol.
Douglas Luiz ‘impensável’
O dirigente também falou sobre as chances de uma grande contratação na próxima janela quando perguntado sobre o volante Douglas Luiz, que estaria de saída da Juventus-ITA,segundo a imprensa europeia. Segundo ele, as chances são baixas:
— Sonhar eu sonho. Mas nesse momento, contratar um jogador como Douglas é impensável. Se for um jogador com vontade de reapresentar o Vasco, a porta estará sempre aberta, desde que cumpra os requisitos. Nesse momento é muito difícil.
Sobre mercado, Admar disse haver lacunas no elenco e pregou assertividade:
— O elenco é desequilibrado em algumas funções, pode faltar algum perfil. O Diniz quer jogadores que ajudem de forma inequívoca.
O elenco do Vasco está de férias até o próximo dia 23. Na volta, o clube fará uma intertemporada no Rio, ainda durante a paralisação do Brasileirão para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes.
A janela de transferências abre no dia 10 de julho. O retorno do Vasco ao Brasileirão está previsto para o dia 12, em clássico contra o Botafogo.
