Na noite deste sábado (12), o Botafogo venceu o Vasco por 2 a 0 no clássico realizado na Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, pela 13ª rodada do Brasileirão. Os gols do Glorioso saíram dos pés de Arthur Cabral e Nathan Fernandes.
Com essa vitória, o Botafogo assume a 5ª posição no Brasileirão com 21 pontos, empatado com o 6º Bahia e um ponto atrás do 4º Palmeiras. Enquanto isso, o Vasco fica na 14ª colocação com 13 pontos, mas não pode entrar na zona de rebaixamento nesta rodada.
Equipes se estudam no 1º tempo e ficam no zero
No primeiro tempo, não tivemos um jogo muito movimentado, com as equipes se estudando. No entanto, o Botafogo tomou mais atitude na partida, e teve algumas boas oportunidades. Além disso, o Fogão poderia ter feito um gol em um possível pênalti. Mas a penalidade passou por revisão do VAR e acabou anulada por Anderson Daronco.

Arthur Cabral desencanta e Botafogo confirma vitória
No segundo tempo, o Botafogo de Davide Ancelotti voltou melhor, e logo aos 3 minutos abriu o placar no Mané Garrincha. Assim, em uma jogada de Kaio Pantaleão pela direita, Montoro recebeu dentro da área e bateu para o gol. Léo Jardim fez a defesa, mas deu o rebote nos pés de Arthur Cabral, que não desperdiçou essa chance. Esse foi o primeiro gol do centroavante desde que chegou ao Fogão.
Já aos 33 minutos, Nathan Fernandes ampliou o placar para o Botafogo em uma bela jogada. Primeiro, Montoro recebeu, deu um passe de cavadinha para Marlon Freitas, que deu um cruzamento de futvôlei na boa para o atacante marcar. O curioso, é que o jogador tinha acabado de perder um gol incrível e se redimiu no lance seguinte.
Davide Ancelotti comanda indiretamente o time
Oficialmente quem comandou o Botafogo nessa partida foi o interino Cláudio Caçapa, mas o novo treinador Davide Ancelotti estava no banco de reservas. No entanto, o italiano estava na condição de auxiliar aos olhos da CBF.
