Während Mbappé aufgrund einer kürzlichen Erkrankung beim Turnier teils geschont wurde, sorgt Vinicius intern für größere Sorgen. Nicht nur seine Formkurve zeigt nach unten, auch die stockenden Vertragsverhandlungen scheinen sich negativ auf seine Konzentration und Einstellung auszuwirken.
Klubverantwortliche bei Real Madrid befürchten laut dem Bericht jedoch, dass noch weitere Gründe hinter dem Leistungsabfall stecken könnten – daher das Gespräch.
Trotz gewisser Nachsicht aufgrund seines gesundheitlichen Rückschlags ist auch Mbappés Auftritt gegen PSG in den Fokus geraten. Alonso soll unzufrieden mit dessen Einsatz ohne Ball gewesen sein – eine Kritik, die zuvor bereits intern formuliert wurde.
