Em programa esportivo da Jovem Pan Esportes, o comentarista Bruno Prado avaliou o desempenho de João Pedro com o Chelsea. O meia-atacante que foi contratado no meio do Super Mundial de Clubes em negociação com o Brighton. Para o jornalista, o atleta deve receber convocação de Carlo Ancelotti, mas não a titularidade na seleção brasileira.
João Pedro pode ganhar destaque na seleção brasileira
O jornalista Bruno Prado analisou a situação do meia-atacante nas últimas semanas. Os comentaristas esportivos relembraram que João Pedro já atuava em destaque na Premier League antes mesmo de chegar ao Chelsea. O especialista disse: “Com certeza será convocado, ele não esteve na primeira convocação de Ancelotti, esteve na última de Dorival. Com certeza estará na próxima”.
Para Bruno Prado, há uma questão do trabalho que Ancelotti está fazendo na seleção brasileira em relação à continuidade. Portanto, o comentarista vê que o bom desempenho de Matheus Cunha na última convocação seja importante para mantê-lo na titularidade do Brasil. Porém, não descarta que João Pedro receba oportunidades.
Bruno Prado concluiu: “Tem a questão do desempenho na seleção. Pela última atuação da seleção, acho que no próximo jogo da seleção quem vai começar é o Matheus Cunha que jogou bem. Entrou bem contra o Equador e foi bem contra o Paraguai (…) Ancelotti está chegando agora, ainda não sabe toda a ideia dele com a seleção, mas se for uma briga direta, vai ser muito plano para o futuro”.

Revelado no futebol brasileiro pelo Fluminense, João Pedro teve passagens pelo Watford e Brighton da Inglaterra. No seu último clube, encerrou a temporada com 27 partidas, 10 gols e 6 assistências. Porém, assim que chegou ao Chelsea para disputar metade do Super Mundial de Clubes, o meia-atacante atuou em 3 partidas, indo às redes em 3 ocasiões.
