Lucas Beraldo (21) hat bei Paris Saint-Germain wohl offiziell um seine Freigabe gebeten. Der brasilianische Innenverteidiger kam erst Anfang 2024 und will den Champions-League-Sieger jetzt wieder verlassen. Wie die französische Zeitung L’Équipe berichtet, sucht der Abwehrspieler einen Klub, bei dem er dauerhaft auf dem Platz steht – im Hinblick auf die WM 2026 will er mehr Spielzeit sammeln.
[–>Denn bei PSG ist für ihn aktuell kein Platz in der ersten Reihe. In der Innenverteidigung sind Kapitän Marquinhos (31) und der Ex-Frankfurter Willian Pacho (23) gesetzt. Beraldo ist nur die Nummer drei – und damit meistens auf der Bank.
Den Grund für seine Reservistenrolle bekam die Fußballwelt beim Horror-Finale von PSG bei der Klub-WM zu sehen. Weil Pacho gesperrt fehlte, rückte Beraldo in die Startelf – und erlebte einen rabenschwarzen Abend. Beim 0:3 gegen Conference-League-Sieger Chelsea war er gleich an mehreren Gegentoren beteiligt, ließ sich von Cole Palmer (23) und João Pedro (23) mehrfach austanzen. Ein Auftritt zum Vergessen – und womöglich sein letzter im PSG-Trikot.

Dabei war Beraldo erst im Januar 2024 für 20 Millionen Euro von São Paulo nach Paris gewechselt, sein Vertrag läuft noch bis 2028. In der vergangenen Saison absolvierte er 38 Pflichtspiele für PSG, erzielte ein Tor.
Trotzdem: Der Youngster sieht seine Zukunft wohl nicht mehr in Paris.

PSG hofft auf eine Ablöse von rund 30 Millionen Euro. Wunsch-Nachfolger: Ilya Zabarnyi (22) vom englischen Klub Bournemouth, in ihn könnte das Geld direkt wieder reinvestiert werden.

Bashir to miss rest of England vs India Test series with fractured finger
England spinner Shoaib Bashir has sustained a fracture to one of his left fingers and has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against India.
