Vedle třiadvacáté hráčky světa Noskové zasáhnou z českých tenistek do hlavního turnaje také Marie Bouzková či letošní vítězka wimbledonské smíšené čtyřhry Kateřina Siniaková. Divokou kartu získaly loňská semifinalistka Laura Samson, Tereza Valentová a Sára Bejlek.
„Je snem každého ředitele turnaje mít v pavouku přihlášenou aktuální grandslamovou vítězku, a za mě už českou tenisovou legendu. Je to nejlepší reklama na tenis, kterou mohou fanoušci mít,“ řekl dnes ředitel turnaje Miroslav Malý na adresu Siniakové.
Další české hráčky se pokusí probojovat do hlavní soutěže z kvalifikace, která se odehraje v sobotu a neděli. Do ní obdržely divokou kartu také Lucie Havlíčková nebo sestry Alena a Jana Kovačkovy. Los hlavního turnaje se uskuteční v neděli. Finálové zápasy dvouher a čtyřher jsou na programu 26. července.

Linda Nosková bude v Praze plnit roli nasazené jedničky.
Ze zahraničních hvězd by se měly představit například Číňanka Wang Sin-jü, Slovenka Rebecca Šramková, Ukrajinka Dajana Jastremská, Elina Avanesjanová z Arménie, Rumunka Jaqueline Cristianová, Ruska Anastasia Pavljučenkovová či Američanky Alycia Parksová a Bernarda Peraová.
„Celková kapacita areálu je 2500 vstupenek. Doufám, že bude vyprodáno. Čeští fanoušci jsou skvělí, vždy vytvoří holkám skvělou atmosféru. Pokud jde o finále, máme vyprodáno více než 75 procent vstupenek,“ konstatoval Malý.
Poslední českou šampionkou byla v roce 2022 Bouzková. Vloni ve Stromovce triumfovala Polka Magda Linetteová.
Siniaková vyhlíží devátou účast. „Startovat tady je výjimečné, protože většinu času jsme někde jinde. Mít možnost hrát před domácími fanoušky je ‚wau‘. Zažila jsem to několikrát a atmosféra je vždy skvělá. Jediné přání mám nehrát proti Češce, abych si tu atmosféru užila. Pak je to totiž pro diváky těžké a nemohou fandit jen jedné. Na příští týden se hrozně moc těším,“ uvedla Siniaková.
