Em meio à fase final da Liga das Nações (VNL), a Federação Internacional de Vôlei (FIVB) divulgou hoje a lista de convocados das seleções para o Mundial de Vôlei Feminino, que será disputado na Tailândia, entre os dias 22 de agosto de 7 de setembro. Cada equipe relacionou 25 atletas, podendo utilizar até 14 por partida.
A grande novidade na lista de José Roberto Guimarães é a presença da líbero Nyeme, que foi mãe no início de maio e não entra em quadra desde outubro do ano passado. Ela foi eleita a melhor líbero das Olimpíadas de Paris, sendo medalhista de bronze pela seleção brasileira. Ela também esteve nas campanhas dos vices na VNL de 2021 e 2022, além do Mundial de 2022.
Outra surpresa que aparece na lista é a ponteira Ana Cristina, que deixou a seleção nos jogos finais da primeira fase da Liga das Nações por conta de uma lesão no joelho esquerdo. Ela retornou ao Brasil para fazer novos exames e não tem previsão de retorno. Sendo assim, a sua presença no Mundial ainda é incerta, embora esteja convocada.
Ausências
Por outro lado, a central Carol foi ausência na lista de Zé Roberto. Ela pediu dispensa da VNL para focar na recuperação física após uma sequência desgastante. Para a próxima temporada, ela deixou o vôlei italiano para atuar nos Estados Unidos. Natinha é outra que segue fora da seleção por opção própria, já que ela quer cuidar da sua saúde física e mental.
Brasil no Mundial de Vôlei Feminino
A seleção feminina de vôlei está no grupo C do Mundial, ao lado de Porto Rico, Grécia e França. O primeiro jogo acontece no dia 22 de agosto, à 9h30 (de Brasília), diante das gregas. Vale destacar que as duas melhores de cada grupo avançam às oitavas de final. O Brasil ainda busca esse título inédito, tendo sido prata por quatro vezes, em 1994, 2006, 2010 e na última edição, em 2022.
