Na manhã de hoje (15), Marcelo Marques anunciou a doação da Arena do Grêmio para o clube. O CEO da Marquespan e pré-candidato à presidência gremista participou de uma entrevista coletiva no auditório do estádio, junto com o atual mandatário Alberto Guerra e outros dirigentes. Na plateia, um dos presentes era Paulo Odone.
O ex-presidente do Grêmio foi o responsável pela mudança do Tricolor Gaúcho do Olímpico para a Arena, com a inauguração do estádio ocorrendo no fim de 2012. No contrato estabelecido pelo dirigente na época, a construtora OAS (atual grupo Metha) possui a gestão do local através da empresa Arena Porto-Alegrense até dezembro de 2032. Ou seja, o clube de Porto Alegre não tem direito à totalidade da bilheteria dos jogos e às receitas geradas no estádio e pelos associados.
Paulo Odone foi homenageado pelo Grêmio
No fim do evento ocorrido nesta terça-feira (15) no auditório da Arena do Grêmio, Paulo Odone foi convidado a posar para fotos ao lado de Marcelo Marques e Alberto Guerra. O ato revoltou os torcedores do Grêmio nas redes sociais.
Na visão dos internautas gremistas, Paulo Odone foi o responsável pela gestão vista como contestada pela Arena Porto-Alegrense. “Que show de vergonha alheia o Paulo Odone subindo no palco no final da entrevista, sendo que ele que começou esse inferno todo”, resmungou um usuário da rede social X. “Paulo Odone assinou um contrato maldito lesa clube, sumiu todos esses anos e hoje estava lá”, protestou outro gremista.
Paulo Odone atualmente tem 83 anos e presidiu o Grêmio por três mandatos (1987-1990, 2005-2008 e 2011-2012). Entre os feitos do histórico dirigente no comando do Imortal, estão o título da primeira Copa do Brasil em 1989, além da célebre Batalha dos Aflitos contra o Náutico no Brasileirão Série B em 2005. Em áudio vazado no encerramento da transmissão da coletiva pelo canal oficial do clube, o dono da Marquespan prometeu ao ex-presidente do Grêmio a volta da avalanche da torcida. “O senhor trabalhou muito pra isso”, disse Marcelo Marques.
Marcelo Marques comunicou doação da Arena do Grêmio
Na última sexta-feira (11), o empresário do ramo alimentício anunciou a compra da gestão da Arena do Grêmio em suas redes sociais. O fundador da Marquespan, voltada para a distribuição de pão francês, adquiriu o controle do estádio por R$ 50 milhões, além de assumir a dívida da construção com a Revee em mais R$ 80 milhões.
Na entrevista coletiva de hoje (15), Marcelo Marques confirmou emocionado que doará 100% da Arena para o Grêmio. “Não é uma questão empresarial, não tem nada a ver com empresa, com marketing. É uma doação de um gremista, e eu espero que esse gesto toque no coração de todos os gremistas”, declarou o pré-candidato à presidência do Imortal. O próximo jogo da equipe do Mano Menezes em Porto Alegre será no dia 23 de junho, contra o Alianza Lima, pela partida de volta dos playoffs da Copa Sul-Americana.
