Das 17-jährige Mega-Talent Konstantinos Karetsas hat nicht vor, den KRC Genk in naher Zukunft zu verlassen – und lässt damit auch den deutschen Rekordmeister abblitzen!
Zuletzt hatte die belgische Zeitung „Het Laatste Nieuws“ berichtet, dass Bayern-Coach Vincent Kompany (39) das Juwel im Visier habe. Und auch SPORT BILD weiß: Kompany findet Karetsas durchaus interessant.
Aber: Aus einem Wechsel wird nichts – zumindest vorerst!
[–>In „Het Laatste Nieuws“ spricht der offensive Mittelfeldspieler über einen möglichen Abschied aus Genk und wird dabei deutlich: „Ich habe noch nicht vor, hier wegzugehen.“
Weiter führt er aus: „Es ist schön, wenn man mit diesen großen Klubs in Verbindung gebracht wird. Es hat keinen Sinn, sich darüber zu beschweren. Man muss immer ruhig bleiben.“
Er werde gemeinsam mit seiner Familie prüfen, was „das Beste für mich ist. Ich sehe mich auf jeden Fall auch in der nächsten Saison in Genk – es sei denn, es läuft etwas schief zwischen dem Verein und mir, aber das Verhältnis war immer gut. Das wird auch so bleiben.“
Karetsas ist noch bis 2027 vertraglich an die Belgier gebunden. In der aktuellen Saison kommt er unter dem deutschen Trainer Thorsten Fink (57) auf 33 Pflichtspiele, drei Tore und vier Vorlagen. Der Marktwert des Spielers liegt laut transfermarkt.de bei 13 Millionen Euro.

Ende März hatte der Youngster seine Premiere in der griechischen Nationalmannschaft gefeiert, bei der 0:1-Niederlage in den Nations-League-Playoffs gegen Schottland. Mit 17 Jahren, vier Monaten und einem Tag war er der jüngste Debütant in der Geschichte des Landes.
Nicht überraschend, dass neben dem FC Bayern auch der FC Chelsea, Atalanta Bergamo und Inter Mailand heiß auf Karetsas sein sollen.
Doch die Top-Vereine müssen sich wohl erst mal noch gedulden …
