Stephen Curry reminded the world why he’s still the NBA’s most electrifying star, and according to Draymond Green, his legacy now outshines even the greatest to ever play the game.
In a stunning Game 1 win over the No. 2 seeded Houston Rockets, Curry dropped 31 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 95-85 upset on the road. The veteran guard dazzled the Toyota Center crowd with an array of jaw-dropping shots, including a near half-court bomb and an off-balance jumper from out of bounds that defied logic.

Speaking postgame with Bob Fitzgerald and Kelenna Azubuike, Green couldn’t hold back his admiration – or his bold claim.
“That deep one from the Toyota Center [logo] and the one out of bounds over here, absolutely insane,” Green said. “But that’s why he’s the GOAT.”
It was a statement that seemed to elevate Curry above even Michael Jordan and LeBron James, a bold take from someone who has witnessed Curry‘s greatness firsthand for over a decade.

Curry got off to a hot start by attacking the rim, but his three-point barrage began late in the second quarter. He buried back-to-back triples to widen the Warriors’ lead before catching fire in the second half.
His final dagger – a contested three off an inbounds play – came just as Houston was mounting a comeback. The shot silenced the crowd and sealed the win, with Curry finishing 12-of-19 from the field and 5-of-9 from deep.
For Draymond Green, it was just another reminder of why Curry‘s impact is unmatched.
Thirteen years into their partnership, the Warriors duo is still rewriting history – and shaking up the GOAT conversation in the process.
