Casagrande não esconde que, com Flamengo e Palmeiras atuando no ápice das suas qualidades, tem uma preferência pelo Rubro-Negro. Embora o time alviverde seja bastante eficiente e tenha uma ampla capacidade de domínio, o perfil mais leve e 100% ofensivo do Rubro-Negro causa uma satisfação absoluta no ex-jogador.
“O futebol que mais me agrada é quando o Flamengo joga bem. Eu acho mais legal e me divirto mais. Se o Flamengo jogar tudo o que sabe e o Palmeiras jogar tudo o que sabe, eu me divirto mais vendo o jogo do Flamengo.”, disse Casão, no Fim de Papo, do UOL Esporte.
“É um jogo mais leve, mais técnico e com poucos toques na bola. São poucos toques para lateral e para trás. São toques verticais […] Quando chega no meio-campo, é muito raro voltar a bola para o Rossi. Sempre tenta se virar na vertical e indo para frente.”, acrescentou.
Futebol cadenciado do Palmeiras
Ao contrário do Flamengo, Casagrande considera que, em alguns momentos, o Palmeiras busca “esfriar” o jogo com passes conservadores. Enquanto isso, com poucas ligações diretas, a equipe de Filipe Luís adota um estilo ousado e pautado na troca rápida de toques entre os jogadores.
“O Abel ainda usa muito o giro do lateral para o zagueiro, do zagueiro para o volante… o Abel usa muito esse tipo de giro e a esticada do goleiro para os atacantes. O Flamengo quase não utiliza a esticada do goleiro. Eu vejo o Flamengo, para o meu gosto, mais legal de ver.”
“O Flamengo se diverte jogando. O Palmeiras também está se divertindo, mas eu acho que o divertimento do Flamengo é maior.”, afirmou.

Casagrande enaltece Abel Ferreira e Filipe Luís
Apesar da preferência pelo Flamengo, Casagrande não foi capaz de eleger o futebol de maior eficiência. Isso porque o Palmeiras, atual líder do Brasileirão, é avaliado como um time pronto para vencer o campeonato, mas terá que lidar com a concorrência do rival.
“São dois estilos diferentes. O Flamengo é altamente técnico e com muita movimentação. Quando o time encaixa e todo mundo desenvolve a característica própria, o Flamengo é espetacular. É um grande confronto do estilo do Filipe Luís com o estilo do Abel. Eu não consigo dizer qual é melhor porque são estilos diferentes.”
“O Palmeiras tem um modo de jogar de time para ser campeão. O Flamengo também.”, externou.
