Galvão Bueno ‘esquece’ Taffarel e Dida ao cravar maior defensor de pênaltis da história

Galvão Bueno se mostrou convicto ao analisar repertório de Weverton, do Palmeiras, para defender cobranças penais. Ao ver imagens das defesas de Weverton diante do Fortaleza, no último final de semana, e na final das Olímpiadas de 2016, o narrador lembrou frase de goleiro o qual é para ele, o maior defensor de pênaltis da história: Sergio Goycochea.

Galvão pontuou que Goycochea sempre lhe disse que pegava qualquer cobrança penal mal batida. Mas viu diferença em Weverton, que realizou defesas em pênaltis muito bem batidos.

No entanto, destacou a expertise do argentino e o nomeou como o maior defensor de tiros da marca da cal.

Galvão Bueno cita Goycochea ao elogiar Weverton

“Nunca entendi por que o goleiro escolhe canto para dar o outro para o cara [cobrador] bater”, iniciou o jornalista no programa Galvão e Amigos desta segunda-feira (21), na Band TV. O narrador estava analisando defesas do goleiro palmeirense, que esperou a batida até o último instante.

No último final de semana, Weverton defendeu cobrança nos acréscimos, pelo Brasileirão, que garantiu vitória e liderança do Verdão no certame.

“Sempre digo que o Goycochea foi o maior defensor de pênaltis. E ele sempre me disse: ‘todo pênalti mal batido, eu pego’. Mas esse [pênalti do Fortaleza] foi bem batido e ele [Weverton] pegou”, disse Galvão, cravando o argentino como o maior no quesito e elogiando o arqueiro palmeirense.

Ídolo de times como River Plate, Racing, Cerro Porteño e Olimpia, Goycochea teve breve passagem pelo futebol brasileiro. Entre 1995 e 1996, o argentino defendeu as cores do Internacional, antes de retornar à Argentina para defender as cores de Vélez Sársfield e Newell’s Old Boys. Porém, em 1999, dois anos depois de deixar o Brasil, o goleiro anunciar sua aposentadoria da cancha.

Taffarel e Dida não são lembrados

Especialistas no quesito no futebol brasileiro, Taffarel e Dida não foram mencionados pelo narrador Galvão Bueno. O primeiro foi um dos maiores defensores de pênaltis nos anos 1990. Enquanto o segundo ganhou destaque no início dos anos 2000 e, posteriormente, virou ídolo na Itália, ganhando a Champions League com o Milan.

Enquanto Dida, chamado por muitos de “Rei dos Pênaltis”, se tornou especialista em defesas penais no Cruzeiro e Corinthians. Sua especialidade o levou ao sucesso na seleção brasileira e Milan, com as conquistas da Copa do Mundo em 2002, além de vencer uma vez o Campeonato Italiano e duas vezes a Liga dos Campeões.
