Team gems that could shine in this 2025 NFL Draft

With the 2025 NFL Draft just a few hours away, eyes are on the top picks. However, nothing would benefit a team more than a high quality rookie without spending a fortune.

While, teams want to lock in early opportunities, it wouldn’t be wrong for them to turn their attention to these five players.

He will remember! Shedeur Sanders fires back at NFL teams favoring Cam Ward at the Draft

Shaun Dolac

If you’re looking for a lineman, Dolac is someone you can’t pass up.

His incredible tackling has earned him first or second place in the last three seasons with Buffalo.

Although he suffered a shoulder injury in 2023 and missed the season, the linerbacker racked up 315 tackles between 2022 and 2024. His agility and athleticism was on display at Buffalo’s pro day, where he ranked as one of the top six linemen at the Combine.

O’Donnell Fortune

The South Carolina cornerback was, along with Travis Hunter, the only ones at this position to rank among the top four in the FBS, as ascertained by Pro Football Focus.

While he may not have the same profile as his teammate, Fortune fits into any team’s scheme and at a high level, which could cause serious complications for the opposing team. Moreover, the fact that he has been in the top four is no small feat.

Jalin Conyers

An offensive wing is what several teams are looking for and they could get a real gem with Conyers.

The Texas Tech player has proven to be solid both at the point of attack and in pass protection. He can even be a big help in the air. Over the past three seasons, he has 98 receptions for 1,104 yards and 10 touchdowns.

LeQuint Allen

Leading all FBS running backs with 64 receptions, Allen shined last season with Syracuse. He’s also not just a stay in place player, as he has proven to be useful in pass protection aggressively.

In addition, Allen is ideal to contribute on third down opportunities and while his 20 years may not leave many teams satisfied as they look for someone more experienced to play receiver or blocker, he racked up 1000 yards in two consecutive campaigns and his ability and potential could be brought out on the next team.

Nick Nash

Some would say that Nick’s 25 years could be a determining factor and he would be left out of the draft. However, the San Jose State player has a lot to offer.

He began his career shining as a quarterback, but gradually made his transition to wide receiver and, for the past two years, he has shined at this position.

With 104 receptions – 16 of them touchdowns – and 1382 yards receiving, Nash led all FBS wide receivers.

With his strength and experience as a quarterback, he can be explosive and a real headache for the opposing team.

Will they be selected in the Draft?
