Dieser Punkt fühlt sich an wie ein Sieg!

Der SC Magdeburg trotzt dem frühen Ausfall von Publikumsliebling Matthias Musche (32), einem zwischenzeitlichen Vier-Tore-Rückstand – und holt in einer irren Schlussphase noch ein 26:26 gegen Veszprem im Viertelfinal-Hinspiel. Der Traum vom Final Four der Champions League lebt!

Mega-Schock in der 4. Minute! SCM-Urgestein Musche rutscht beim Stand von 1:2 ohne Gegnereinwirkung weg, bleibt mit schmerzverzerrtem Gesicht liegen, hält sich die rechte Achillessehne. Es sieht sofort schlimm aus. Musche kann nicht weitermachen, humpelt auf einem Bein in die Kabine. Das tut weh – nicht nur körperlich.

Denn Musche war mit 58 Toren bislang bester Magdeburger Werfer in dieser Champions-League-Saison, dazu Motivator, Identifikationsfigur, zuletzt sogar Kapitän in Abwesenheit von Christian O’Sullivan. Sein Ausfall trifft das Team mitten ins Herz.

Und wie reagiert die Mannschaft von Bennet Wiegert (43)? Kämpft – aber kommt nicht richtig ins Spiel. In der 12. Minute trifft Albin Lagergren zum 7:7-Ausgleich. Doch Magdeburg wirkt gehemmt, verkrampft. Eine eigene Führung? Fehlanzeige in den ersten 30 Minuten!

[–>Was den SCM überhaupt im Spiel hält: eine erneut starke Leistung von Keeper Sergey Hernández (29). Sechs Paraden verbucht der Spanier bis zur Pause, verhindert Schlimmeres. Zur Halbzeit steht es 11:14 – ein Rückstand, der noch aufzuholen ist.

Gänsehaut-Moment in Minute 24: Musche kehrt auf Krücken zurück in die ausverkaufte GETEC Arena, setzt sich auf die Tribüne. Von dort aus feuert er seine Kollegen an – doch die haben sichtlich mit dem Schock zu kämpfen.

Die Halbzeit-Bilanz ist bitter: 11 Fehlwürfe, 7 technische Fehler. Viel zu viele einfache Fehler für ein Spiel dieser Klasse. Wenn der SCM gegen den ungarischen Top-Klub noch etwas holen will, muss eine deutliche Steigerung her – vor allem im Kopf. Musche kann nicht mehr helfen. Jetzt sind die anderen gefragt.
