Since his arrival in San Francisco and Stephen Curry‘s emergence as an NBA star, he and his wife, Ayesha, have struggled and helped those who need it most. However, one of their donations would not have arrived as planned.
In 2019, the couple would have donated $50,000 to support the East Oakland Boxing Club’s efforts to create a safe space for young people through the Ellen DeGeneres show. However, in the last few hours it was discovered that that donation and many more were being misappropriated.
Howard Solomon, executive director of the club, confessed to having used the funds for vacations and the purchase of a vehicle and accepted charges of embezzlement and tax fraud. In total, he allegedly spent more than $500,000, according to prosecutors in the case.
For this, Howard will pay restitution to the club and reimburse the IRS, the Mercury News reported. The money will be used to promote physical and mental awareness for children and teens ages 4 to 20.

In their recent 109-94 loss to Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors are looking to break the 1-1 tie in the NBA Playoff series and get an important win. In the game, Steph was the most productive, accumulating 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists.
However, during the game, Jimmy Butler collided with Amen Thompson. The 37-year-old crashed to the ground on his tailbone and had to leave the game in the first quarter. In light of this, the team and fans were concerned and he may be out for the next few games.
The Chase Center in San Francisco will host the third game of the series on Saturday 26th. The fourth game will be played at the same stadium on Monday 28.
