That’s why he started eating them regularly and told the story on an episode of his podcast “On Base with Mookie Betts:” “I love Uncrustables, I really do, I ate them big time… they helped me get my weight back when I was sick,” said the ballplayer, who today knows that he is not the only one in baseball who consumes this carbohydrate, sugar, fat and protein bomb, which beyond its taste has proven to be a ‘magic cure’, at least for Mookie.
