Ben Affleck‘s latest film, Accountant 2, has hit theaters to strong anticipation. As the direct sequel to the 2016 success, the film is poised to continue the actor’s streak of blockbuster and critically acclaimed hits.
With a career packed with major titles like The Town, Argo, Armageddon, and Good Will Hunting, Affleck has established himself as a Hollywood legend.
However, in a recent interview with comedian Theo Von, Affleck shared unfiltered thoughts on the truth about fame, Hollywood, and the misconception that being famous is inherently fulfilling.
Affleck’s reflections on fame were especially eye-opening. While many people dream of being rich and famous, he doesn’t see fame as the key to happiness.
“People go, ‘I want to be rich and famous.’ Like, take rich. You know what I mean?” Affleck explained.
“Famous is not going to make you happy.”
The actor, who has experienced both the highs and lows of celebrity, emphasized that fame alone can often feel empty if it’s not connected to real, meaningful achievements.
“It actually feels hollow and empty and like bullsh*t,” Affleck said bluntly, expressing that the fame game can quickly lose its appeal when it doesn’t come with true success or accomplishment.
Hollywood reality
Affleck’s honesty about the pitfalls of fame is a refreshing perspective, especially coming from someone with decades of experience in the industry.
In a world where many young people chase fame for its own sake, Affleck‘s words serve as a cautionary reminder that being well-known doesn’t necessarily equate to happiness or fulfillment. Unfortunately, many in the public eye fall victim to the idea that fame will solve their problems, a myth that Affleck clearly deconstructs with his raw honesty.
Despite the ups and downs of his journey, Affleck is stronger than ever. His ability to push through adversity in both his personal and professional life is a testament to the fact that true fulfillment lies not in fame, but in the work and life you build beyond the spotlight.

How TCU social media leaned into Bill Belichick hype: Memes, one-liners and plenty of receipts
TCU had a heckuva time ruining Bill Belichick’s big debut at North Carolina on Monday night. The only one who might’ve had as much fun as the Horned Frog players in Chapel Hill was 32-year-old Sam Lazarus.TCU’s director of football creative media, like the rest of the Horned Frogs, had taken note of how everything surrounding Monday night’s game was about Belichick and his team. Of course, that wasn’t a shock considering that the 73-year-old Belichick, the greatest coach in NFL history, was coaching his first game at the college level. The curiosity factor of that probably even topped what the Horned Frogs faced when they opened up two years ago against Colorado in Deion Sanders’ first FBS game. Still, for a team coming off a nine-win season with most of its top talent returning, the disrespect of being reduced […]

2025 Fantasy football draft strategy: Tiers, cheat sheets, PPR deep sleepers, breakout picks via NFL expert
One of the biggest challenges for Fantasy football managers each season is projecting the roles of rookies. Depth charts offer hints, but real trust develops as the season unfolds, and identifying a few deep fantasy sleepers can give your roster a significant boost. Reliable 2025 Fantasy football rankings can help managers target polarizing prospects like Cam Skattebo, Jaydon Blue, and Jack Bech. Top options such as Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Ja'Marr Chase, and Brock Bowers dominate their Fantasy position rankings, but building a strong team comes down to middle- and late-round fantasy strategy. With last-minute 2025 Fantasy football drafts going on the clock, managers are scrambling to lock in early picks and uncover late-round sleepers. In PPR leagues, high-volume receivers are particularly valuable, while running backs tend to be the key to success in standard scoring leagues. Before locking in […]

Benches clear, ejections handed in Giants-Rockies matchup after Rafael Devers homer
DENVER — Rafael Devers paused to admire his home run as it soared into the second deck in the first inning Tuesday night. More than 10 minutes later, in a bizarre and wild scene at Coors Field, Devers finished his trot around the bases and crossed the plate. Here’s what happened in between: a benches-clearing incident between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies that involved more shoving than punching that ended in three ejections and brought a little spice to the penultimate game in the season series between the NL West adversaries.AdvertisementIt began when Devers, the second batter of the game, hit a two-run home run and milked the moment a bit too long in the estimation of Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland, who walked off the mound and started a shouting match across the infield. Devers was vociferous in reply. […]

WATCH: Giants, Rockies get into benches-clearing brawl after Rafael Devers admires home run off Kyle Freeland
Getty Images Two batters into the Giants vs. Rockies game in Colorado's Coors Field Tuesday, three players were ejected. Giants first baseman Rafael Devers -- who has been on fire of late -- hit a two-run shot to right field and apparently admired it far too long for Rockies' starter Kyle Freeland's tastes. Freeland started yelling at Devers, Devers yelled back and, well, you get the picture. And the benches cleared. A better angle to see Freeland start yelling at Devers is here: In this highlight, you can see Giants third baseman Matt Chapman get to Freeland and shove him. Chapman was ejected along with Giants shortstop Willy Adames. On the Rockies' end, Freeland was ejected. We don't often see brawls during home run trots, right? There was a Carlos Gomez home run in Atlanta a decade ago with reactions on […]
