Hudson quickly shut down the question, asserting, “We’re not talking about this.” This blunt reaction set the tone for an awkward segment, reportedly leading Hudson to leave the set temporarily out of frustration.

According to TMZ, the interview was delayed by 30 minutes as a result, and Dokoupil was described as “spooked” by the incident. In an Instagram post shared shortly after, Hudson posted a screenshot of an email from Belichick, dated April 10, in which the legendary coach expressed concerns about the media’s focus on his missteps rather than the overarching lessons in his book.

Her caption teased that a full statement would follow later in the day, suggesting that the couple plans to address the backlash head-on. Belichick, who turned 73 earlier this month, and Hudson, 24, have faced public scrutiny over their 49-year age gap.
The pair reportedly met during a flight in February 2021, where Belichick signed Hudson’s textbook, and they became romantically involved in 2023 after Belichick ended his relationship with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday.
