Neste domingo (4), o Grêmio recebe o Santos em sua arena, em Porto Alegre, a partir das 16h00 (de Brasília), em confronto que compõe a sétima rodada do Brasileirão Série A.
Os donos da casa estão há seis jogos sem vencer, sendo três derrotas e três empates, e buscam um resultado positivo diante de seus torcedores para tentar sair da zona de descenso.
Do outro lado, o Peixe trocou de treinador, mas o time voltou a jogar mal no meio de semana e agora precisa de um triunfo fora de casa para se recuperar na competição.

O duelo na Arena do Grêmio será transmitido ao vivo na TV aberta pela Globo e na TV fechada pelo Premiere.
A TV Globo exibe a partida para o estado do Rio Grande do Sul e a cidade paulista de Santos.
O Premiere, que transmite o jogo para todo o Brasil, é um canal fechado em pay-per-view que pertence ao Grupo Globo e pode ser adquirido por meio de um plano de TV por assinatura.

Como chega o Tricolor?
A equipe treinada por Mano Menezes não sabe o que é vencer há seis partidas seguidas e quer esquecer o saldo acumulado em todo o mês de abril, que registra apenas dois triunfos válidos pela Copa Sul-Americana.
No meio de semana, o Grêmio estreou na Copa do Brasil, no jogo de ida da terceira fase, e foi derrotado de virada pelo CSA por 3 x 2, em Maceió.
Pelo Campeonato Brasileiro, o Tricolor gaúcho foi a Salvador na rodada anterior e ficou na igualdade em 1 x 1 com o Vitória.
Com o empate, o time segue na zona de rebaixamento e ocupa o 18º lugar na tabela somando cinco pontos.
“O ambiente do jogo interfere diretamente na produção das equipes. Nós precisamos muito. Mesmo que tenhamos consciência que temos que melhorar. Só vamos melhorar ao lado do nosso torcedor. A gente pede esse voto de confiança”, declarou o técnico Mano Menezes.

O momento do Santos segue bastante complicado em seu retorno à elite do futebol nacional.
A equipe de Neymar também aparece na zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão Série A e estreou na Copa do Brasil com tropeço dentro de casa.
Na Copa do Brasil, o Peixe enfrentou o CRB na Vila Belmiro, pelo duelo de ida da terceira fase que terminou empatado em 1 x 1, com destaque para a grande atuação do goleiro santista Gabriel Brazão que, entre outras participações importantes, defendeu uma cobrança de pênalti.
O jogo marcou a estreia do técnico Cleber Xavier, ex-auxiliar de Tite por 24 anos, que sabe da necessidade de “resultados imediatos” para aliviar a pressão nos bastidores do clube.
“Não tem como ser diferente, a gente ter que sair primeiro dessa situação. Vamos enfrentar agora um rival que está numa condição parecida com a nossa, vamos tentar fazer um jogo melhor para sair dessa situação. Não tem como alinhar expectativa se não sair dessa”, explicou o novo treinador santista.
Pelo Brasileirão, o Santos vem de derrota em casa diante do Red Bull Bragantino pela contagem de 2 x 1, em partida com amplo domínio do adversário.
Na tabela, o Peixe caiu para a 19ª e penúltima colocação com quatro pontos, dois acima do lanterna Sport.
