Travis Hunter is without a doubt one of the most talented athletes that college sports has seen in quite some time, with the cornerback/wide receiver viewed as a player that could be a generational talent.
The former Heisman Trophy winner rocked the college scene with his impressive skills displayed for two years at Colorado, under the wing of Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.

Hunter was selected No. 2 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars, an organization that’s going through a rebuild in order to create a competitive team that can make a deep run in the playoffs and finally get to the Super Bowl, as the Florida team is one of four franchises that have not been able to reach the championship game.

Travis Hunter has set a standard for college greatness, and it’s possible that we might not see a player dominate the way he did in the last couple of years. However, thousands of football fans are eager to meet the next Travis, and we could be watching a Hunter in the making.
It’s none other than wide receiver/tight end Mike Broxton Jr., a lengthy athlete from Central Florida who is causing sensation on the internet with his incredible catching ability and his talent to leap over defenders and score with ease. It’s clear to see why so many fans are excited with the highlights they have seen about the youngster.
However, some people are not sold on the idea of Broxton Jr. being a rough diamond. “He’s not so very fast. So easy to cover, and one hit trough the middle, he might be done,” an X user posted. “Gotta bulk up a little,” added somebody else. The high schooler talent is not limited to the football field, as people have posted videos of his basketball abilities, where we can see him score at will.
Tight end requires height and talent
The tight end position has been through a transformation in recent years in the NFL. This player is a hybrid between a receiver and an offensive lineman. Generally, he lines up next to the left tackle or right tackle or he can “split out” like a wide receiver.
The tight end duties include blocking for both the quarterback and the running backs, but he can also run into the field and catch passes. Tight ends can catch like a receiver, but has the strength and size to dominate on the line. That’s why size matters when it comes to that position.
In the greatest tight ends ever, the conversation usually include names like legendary Kansas City Chiefs’ Tony Gonzalez – listed as 6’5 -, New Englands Patriots own Rob Gronkowski – who’s 6’6 -, Dallas Cowboys’ Jason Witten – also 6’6 – Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens’ Shannon Sharpe – 6’2 -, and most recently Travis Kelce – 6’5 -. So Mike Broxton Jr. has the height, but does he have the muscle and the skills to make it as a TE in the NFL? Only time will tell.
