Jason Kelce mocks Cowboys ahead of season opener as Travis Kelce questions Dak Prescott’s return

The 2025 NFL season will start with a bang as the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys in a fiery NFC East showdown. The tension is already sky-high thanks to Jason and Travis Kelce, who opened up about the matchup on their New Heights podcast, throwing shade, raising doubts, and setting the tone for what could be one of the most anticipated Week 1 clashes in recent memory.

Jason Kelce, never one to hold back, didn’t miss the opportunity to poke fun at “America’s Team.” “Some call them America’s team, but it’s been a while since America’s been great, if that’s the case,” he quipped, clearly referencing the Cowboys‘ decades-long Super Bowl drought. The Eagles legend even took a dig at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, saying he’d likely be “pumped” to watch a championship banner get unveiled at Lincoln Financial Field, just not one with a star on it.

Travis Kelce melts for Jason’s daughters is he rehearsing for dad life with Taylor?

The Dak dilemma

While the Eagles prepare to raise their Super Bowl banner, the Cowboys are still figuring out who will be under center. Quarterback Dak Prescott is recovering from a partial hamstring avulsion that cut short his 2024 campaign in Week 9. Without him, Dallas spiraled, ending the season with a 7-10 record and missing the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Detroit Lions 2025 NFL Schedule Preview

Travis Kelce put it simply: “Is my guy Dak going to be back?” That’s the million-dollar question. Prescott has offered optimistic updates, claiming in April that he could play a game “today” if needed. Still, he’s avoided committing to a clear timeline, saying only that he’s “close” to where he wants to be.

Pressure on Prescott and the Cowboys

Prescott does have a winning record (2-1) over Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, but the stakes this time are much higher. If he returns, all eyes will be on whether he can lead Dallas to an early statement win, or if the Eagles will steamroll their rivals yet again, just as they did in their two lopsided victories last season.

With pride, playoff aspirations, and plenty of ego on the line, September 4 is shaping up to be more than just another game, it’s a battle for NFC East dominance and a shot at redemption for “America’s Team.”

2025 NFL defensive line rankings ahead of Week 7: Browns continue to lead the way

Steelers defensive line dominates the Browns: The Steelers’ pass-rush trio of Nick Herbig, Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt overwhelmed the Browns’ offensive line and rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel throughout the game. With Cleveland frequently leaving its tackles on islands, Watt posted his best outing of the season, earning an 87.1 overall grade. Highsmith made a strong return to action with an 84.6, but it was Herbig who stole the show with his 94.8 grade, the highest of any defensive player in the NFL for the week. The Broncos continue to pace the league in total pressures: Nik Bonitto leads the way with 25 pressures and also tops the NFL with eight sacks. Jonathan Cooper and Zach Allen aren’t far behind, with 21 and 20 pressures, respectively. The defensive line is the heart of any successful defense, tasked with both disrupting […]
