Ex-Flamengo e Corinthians, Vítor Pereira é nomeado em prêmio de melhor treinador da temporada na Premier League

O técnico português Vítor Pereira foi nomeado para o prêmio de melhor treinador da Premier League na temporada 2024/2025, em reconhecimento ao seu trabalho à frente do Wolverhampton. A indicação coloca o ex-Flamengo e Corinthians entre os principais nomes da liga inglesa, junto de Arne Slot, campeão da liga, por exemplo.

Vítor Pereira, que chegou em dezembro no time inglês, tirou o clube da zona de rebaixamento e conseguiu conquistar a maior série de vitórias do Wolverhampton na Premier League, com seis consecutivas.

Além dele, o também português Nuno Espírito Santo, treinador do Nottingham Forest, também foi indicado. Eddie Howe, que comanda o Newcastle, e Thomas Frank, do Brentford, são os restantes nomeados.

Jogadores indicados a melhor da temporada

Três nomes de destaque da campanha vitoriosa do Liverpool na última temporada foram indicados ao prêmio de melhor jogador da Premier League: Ryan Gravenberch, Mohamed Salah e Virgil van Dijk. A lista, divulgada nesta quinta-feira, também conta com jogadores de times “alternativos” da liga e deixa de fora nomes como Erling Haaland e Kevin De Bruyne.

Além deles, a lista contempla outros nomes que também se destacaram nesta temporada. Morgan Gibbs-White e Chris Wood, ambos do Nottingham Forest, foram responsáveis por um desempenho surpreendente do clube na Premier League, contribuindo ofensivamente com gols e assistências.

Alexander Isak, atacante sueco do Newcastle United, ganhou destaque pela capacidade de finalização e presença em campo. Bryan Mbeumo, ponta do Brentford, impressionou pela velocidade e criatividade, enquanto Declan Rice, meio-campista do Arsenal, se mostrou essencial no equilíbrio entre defesa e ataque dos Gunners.
