Micah Parsons’ brother shuts down fake $203M Cowboys contract and takes shots at NFL rivals

As the offseason buzz continues to swirl around the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons has once again found himself in the middle of the conversation-though not by his own doing.

On Wednesday, a fake Adam Schefter account on X (formerly Twitter) posted a false report claiming the All-Pro linebacker had signed a record-breaking $203.5 million contract extension with the Cowboys.

The fabricated deal, which supposedly included $147.5 million guaranteed, quickly made waves across social media. It would have made Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

But the excitement didn’t last long-Terrence Parsons, Micah’s older brother, stepped in to set the record straight.

Detroit Lions Heavily Featured in Primetime in 2025

“If we gonna do the fake pages at least make the numbers right Lmfaoo,” Terrence wrote on X, dismissing the bogus claim with a mix of humor and frustration. The clarification came as fans eagerly await real news about Parsons‘ long-expected extension.

Parsons still on rookie deal as Cowboys plan next move

Currently, Micah Parsons is entering the final stages of his rookie contract, signed in 2021. That deal was worth $17.1 million over four years and included a signing bonus of nearly $10 million.

The Cowboys picked up his fifth-year option earlier this offseason, securing him for 2025 at a salary of approximately $24 million.

With the linebacker continuing to dominate as one of the league’s most disruptive defenders, contract extension talks are expected to heat up. But as of now, no official agreement has been reached, and Terrence‘s post confirms that fans shouldn’t believe every rumor they see.

That hasn’t stopped him from weighing in on how the team can improve. Following the Cowboys’ high-profile trade for wide receiver George Pickens, Terrence made his own trade proposal: Kyle Pitts from the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a second-round pick.

“Imagine Jerry trading a 2nd round pick for Pitts we in the bowl,” he posted, referring to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The move, he believes, would make Dallas an instant Super Bowl contender.

Pitts, who has struggled to find consistency in Atlanta, remains one of the most athletically gifted tight ends in the league.

Terrence Parsons calls out rivals in online jabs

In addition to trade talk, Terrence Parsons didn’t hold back on some familiar NFL names. He responded to a post about Derek Carr‘s retirement with a jab at the former Saints quarterback’s playoff record, writing, “Lmfaoo Jesus, they won’t talk about that tho.”

Carr’s postseason struggles have long been a point of criticism despite his individual success.

Parsons also threw shade at Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, suggesting that Lamar Jackson would outperform Hurts if given the same supporting cast. “Imagine Lamar on the team Hurts has,” he implied, reigniting debate among fans of both teams.

Still, Terrence maintains optimism about the Cowboys’ future. Despite last season’s playoff disappointment, he predicted a 12-win season for Dallas in 2025-a bold call that reflects the confidence both he and his brother carry into the new campaign.

As the Cowboys prep for a pivotal year, with Micah Parsons anchoring the defense and contract talks looming, the off-field drama only adds to the anticipation. For now, the linebacker remains unsigned long-term-but his camp is keeping receipts.

Slot seeking new ways to stop opposition as Liverpool aim to bounce back

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot believes he benefited from the aura of Jurgen Klopp in his first season, but knows the situation has changed now that they are the defending Premier League champions.Slot believes opponents felt they could capitalise on his first season, coming from the Eredivisie to manage in England for the first time and succeeding the highly successful German, and were keen to exploit a perceived weakness. However, that played into Liverpool's hands as a squad which - apart from the hardly used Federico Chiesa - had been founded on Klopp's methods took advantage of more attacking opposition to establish a solid lead and then go on to win the title.Slot noticed a change in the approach towards them midway through last season, but by then it was virtually too late to reel them in.However, in this campaign, […]

Alonso fastest as Albon’s car catches fire in Singapore first practice

Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso was fastest from Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in first practice for the Singapore Grand Prix as Alex Albon's Williams caught fire early on.Alonso, who recently admitted 2026 could be his final season in F1, topped a practice session for the first time this year by 0.150s ahead of Leclerc with the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris only fifth and sixth on a track they are expected to dominate at. Max Verstappen was third from Lewis Hamilton in fourth, both drivers within four tenths of Alonso, but first practice in Singapore is largely unrepresentative since it takes place in the day during hotter temperatures compared to qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday at night.Two-time world champion Alonso had the benefit of setting his lap later than most of the field, so had better track […]
