Wer hätte das zu Beginn des Turniers gedacht?
Das 200.000 Dollar Invitational-Turnier bei der Triton-High-Roller-Serie im Balkan-Staat Montenegro ist das letzte große Event vor der World Series of Poker, die in der nächsten Woche in Las Vegas beginnt. Allerdings bestimmen nicht die Profis die Schlagzeilen – zwei unbekannte Zocker dominieren das Millionen-Spektakel.

Nach dem 2. Tag liegt der Aserbaidschaner Javid Ismayilov an der Spitze des noch 11 Spieler umfassenden Feldes. Und das ist eine fette Überraschung! Von ihm ist wenig bis gar nichts bekannt. Er taucht in Montenegro zum ersten Mal überhaupt bei der High-Roller-Serie auf. Nur auf Grund einer Einladung wurde er überhaupt für das Turnier zugelassen. Er legte die 200.000 Dollar Startgeld auf den Tisch – und kann diesen Einsatz jetzt fast verdreißigfachen. Der Sieger geht nämlich mit rund 5,4 Mio. Euro nach Hause.
Nach dem Coup von Poker-Gandalf Vladimir Korzinin im letzten Jahr in Monte-Carlo (gewann über 4 Mio. Euro) wäre es die nächste Sensation bei dieser Serie. Sollte es Ismayilov nicht schaffen, wartet direkt dahinter der nächste Unbekannte. Der Montenegriner Aleksa Pavicevic, der in seiner Karriere rund 40.000 Euro bisher gewinnen konnte, hat ebenfalls den Lauf seines Lebens. Auch ein Sieg von ihm wäre spektakulär.
Überraschend: Unter den letzten 11 Spielern sind nur noch fünf Profis dabei. Aber darunter auch Poker-Schwergewichte. Mit den Amis Eric Wasserson und Tyler von Kriegenbergh liegen direkt zwei Top-Stars auf den Plätzen 3 und 4. Sie werden garantiert alles geben, um die Ehre der Profis zu retten.
[–>Enttäuschend hingegen das Resultat der deutschen Spieler. Obwohl Poker-Talent Leon Sturm den 1. Tag auf Platz Zwei beendete, schaffte er es nicht ins Geld. Auch Superstar Fedor Holz musste vor den Kohle-Rängen die Segel streichen. Lediglich Christoph Vogelsang schaffte es seine Kasse ein wenig zu füllen. Der Münsteraner wurde 19. und kassierte dafür rund 300.000 Euro. Das Finale steigt am Mittwochmittag.
